Probably not. Plants grow better fighting gravity than running with it. Besides if the plant "thinks" it's upside-down it's going to loose time reorienting itself. If you're running out of room just keep tying it off away from the light.

I've read here at riu that you can cut all of the buds off the plant, then put her back on 24h light to force vegging. Should be able to take clippings after the plant has stabilised.
