Need help deciding which light fixture to buy. Help PLS

I agree with you about the cord mess. I have the same problem, and I find the LEDs to reduce that significantly. I use three 90w UFO LEDs that I have bought on eBay from $125 to $155 delivered. I'm happy with them. I use one for veg 24/0 and two for flower 12/12. My grow space is about 2X3 feet...

Help with ventilation for veg room

Tiny plants only use tiny amounts of air, and amongst other things CO2 is important to replenish - as that is what the plant uses in photosynthesis. I think you can add CO2 to the room, to offset ventilation, to some degree. At least I do that, for same reasons - conserve heat. Seems to work, I...

    Think about it!!!!!!!

Come on - the criminalization of marijuana is well documented, and it was primarily to get rid of hemp. The reason to get rid of hemp was to favor industry that used cellulose (wood) for it's fiber - as supposed to hemp. The marijuana part of it was mostly scare tactics, which had little to do...

    LED grow

Everything is running smooth. Temperatures and humidity are OK. Plants are stretching and filling out after having been under 12/12 light for 19 days. Since I don't know what I'm growing, I don't know what to expect - as this grow is a test run. The bubbleponics is gurgeling along just fine, and...

Need help deciding which light fixture to buy. Help PLS

I think the 150w HPS looks good - at under $80. Darn it, makes me think if I need to consider HPS - I'm all LED. So many alternatives. The only thing I don't like with HPS is the high surface-temperature of the lamp, as well as how to get rid of all that heat. LED works for me, I've got to...

    not getting taller

Yeah - it really looks as if you keep your lights too far away - and in term of more growth - more light. I'm impressed by the little baby you got there, with as relatively little light as you have. Happy growing.

Need help deciding which light fixture to buy. Help PLS

Well, yeah all the wires are a pain, but that fixture isn't large enough to make much of a dent - is it? You might need more than one. The compact fluorescent looks really nice, I think. If you did CFLs before - you know they work.

    Relax, that leaf is normal.

Changed 1 of my CFL's, Good Choice ?

Seriously - there are plenty of lighting information, so read upon it! Incandescent bulbs are worthless for growing, but you knew that.

    Security risk High Alert!!

Relax. It's not you they're interested in, and unless you do something to attract their attention.... - and of course you have the same rights as the owner of the property, as long as you legally reside there.

Thinking about "foaming" my naked shed

You can spray foam on a small scale, with regular 'great-stuff'in spray-cans. The foam you are talking about is a two component polyurethane foam, I believe, and it requires expensive equipment for the application. Not for the DIU. Why can't you use styrofoam. Lowe's even sells it with...

what tempture dose the reservoir have to be?

Very interesting post Fatman7574 Some members may still just want to argue about stuff they know little about. Although I didn't see any info about the differences in time-exposures, versus gas-uptake and relief through the different systems, I was impressed by your article. The better...

    Water Filter?????????????????

I agree with Bob Smith, and to True Stoner I think you're on the right track. Aquarium filters are designed around the idea to break down organic material, largely due to food residues, and fish-poop. In your grow, that's not an issue, so unless you put in a carbon filter in your...

CFL Mini Fridge Bagseed Micro Grow

Hello pattystaff89. I think it's looking pretty good! Although i didn't read all the answers, because something still seems to be off with the RIU web-page, my only suggestion would be to perforate the bottom of your containers. Several holes, maybe 1/2 inch, all around the bottom to let gases...
