Problems with leaves in LED grow

I think a pic of the whole plant would help

I'm not sure if to harvest or not

Still quite a ways to go. There's not a whole lot of bud density there but it's probably genetics. Could be from high temperatures too but I don't see any signs of heat stress. Remember all those hairs have to turn orange, die off and recede back into the calyx.

Problems with leaves in LED grow

Looks like N deficiency. It usually starts on the bottom but I do see it happening on the bottom leaves in the picture. Also the plant looks a lighter shade of green overall which is a sign of general N hunger. They use a lot of N during flowering stretch; they also store it up for later during...

    Self-made LED panel general discussion

I remember seeing somewhere that these graphs aren't exactly accurate representing the peaks of each wavelength in ratio. It's also different for each plant, so these PAR graphs are more of a general guide rather than a rule. I don't think there is a definitive one for cannabis. I remember...

    Self-made LED panel general discussion

The Crees and LED Engines are not efficient enough at first glance. Yikes, and expensive too. You could get much more efficiency buying separate LEDs. I like the Illumitex a lot, but at $450 for a 70ish watt light it would take some convincing (although it's probably worlds better than a...

    Self-made LED panel general discussion

Agreed. If the Chinese LEDs would just realease the freakin' datasheets, then we could see how to best use them. But I'm afraid there aren't any. I know, air cooling is just easier. I visualize copper pipes with LEDs attached somehow running through the growroom. Water would simply flow...

    Self-made LED panel general discussion

I see your point. But if we're already building LED lamps, why add big, bulky, hot floros? I grow on the micro level and LEDs are much, much smaller. And cooler. And, someone has to experiment with this technology, who is it gonna be? Are we going to just use HPS forever? I think not. In a way...

my first grow: pc case x lst x bagseed

Nice job! Don't worry bout those yellow leaves, it happens naturally. Ideally you stop feeding a few weeks before harvest so all the leaves yellow up.

    The LED Plunge- What's ideal!?!

You guys are just behind the times. There are plenty of good LED grows if you look around. icmag has a gram per watt LED club... many people get 1.5 or more.

    When does flowering start

either way will work, give or take a couple days will not matter to the plant. just check the trichomes when the buds mature to know when to harvest.

3 month old plant, 2 month 12/12, slow bud forming

This is what I thought when I first saw your pics. Flower that lady until she's finished and she'll reward ya! In the meantime grow some indica and maybe it'll finish before her...

Worst strain you have even grown ?

I think "worst strain" is dependent on HOW you grow it, not the result of the DNA contained within the seeds. If you grow great genetics under CFLs, yeah you're going to get crappy yields and airy buds. Proper lighting and nutrition is necessary to bring out any strain's potential. Also elite...

Worst strain you have even grown ?

If it was legal and regulated like tobacco, you'd see the pharmaceutical companies take over the industry, and real quality marijuana would be like craft beer. Then they'd lobby to pass cannabis laws in their favor, totally shutting out the little guy. What? Every seed breeder is a business...

    Droopy babies :(

They look ok, just don't water again until the soil completely dries out and the cups are super light. DO NOT WATER lol, the roots will find the moisture and tell you when the need some more :)

    Anyone have/used a Volcano Vaporizer?

You can get turkey oven bags for cheap and they are the same as the official volcano bags. Volcanos are great and deliver the exact same results every time, for years and years. They really get you wasted off the smallest amounts. The price is prohibitive. If you can find one gently used I...

How much longer should i veg for?

hey man, when you're ready transplant to a larger pot, let her stretch her roots for a week then switch to 12/12. calculating yield is impossible because it depends on so many factors. if you're using CFLs you won't get 2 zips. but you'll get something and can improve upon that in the future.
