    Daylight, Soft White, or Both!?

well if you have tons, then use lots of both. daylight is for veg, and soft white(i think its like 6500 kelvin) is for flowering. youd get more help if this was in the cfl forum btw.

    spouting questions, Please help

Read the growfaq. cardboard boxes dont make growtents. You are going to burn whatever you live in down, with five cfl's in a shoebox. once they begin to flower, or you force them to, you will be able to sex them

Daily (or more...or less) measurable water supply

its a good idea, but 20 hours isnt long for a plant. some people water every few days when the soil dries out, others, like me, water once a day. it doesnt need to be overcomplicated by watering all day like that. now if you put it in a drip feeding coco bucket with a run off res, then thats a...

Daily (or more...or less) measurable water supply

    Help W/Watering and Pics (Finally)

6 gallons is way to much soil for a full flowering plant, much less a seedling. Start your seeds and rooted clones in some cheap plastic cups( i use 16oz clear ones inside dark ones, so i can check the roots, but light wont get through the darker cup.). Once the plant becomes almost rootbound in...

    why IR protection is important

I know alot of people dont worry about cops using FLIR , or their heat signature, because "the cops dont care about a 2000 watt grow". But the local hydro shop had a flir on display, and i realized anyone can rent or buy one. So some asshole could rent one, ride around town mapping out...

Droopy leaves. Think it's the lighting? PICS

exactly. My plants will do that anytime i rotate them and the new ones are next to a side light. The plants are pretty smart about finding out were the sun is, and orientating its leaves appropriatly. Also, the leaves will rise and fall, or droop, When the plant goes to sleep, and wakes up.

    whats this smell. read this

that happens alot. Its either not dried enough or too dry if it smells like hay. Curing helps alot with the overall taste and aroma. If its too wet (which it sounds like, i airdry for atleast a week) let it dry out some more. If its ever too dry, you can add an orange peel into the mason jar, or...
