ive (in my past) done plenty of vertical grows....the bulb needs to be oriented so the arc tube is parallel to the main colas. the plants need to be in a circle around that and basicly maintaining the cola to bulb parallel....in this type of grow u want your bulb completly surrounded and train...

I just saw a vid on u-tube...it specificly mentioned those bulbs...this was from respected growers...they said it isnt worth the extra money. apperently they do well in veg but suffer in flowering.....hope that helps...

how is a 105 watt cfl over 500 watts...thes equivilents are stupid,and getting old....call it a 105 watt cfl ...i think ppl get it.....if it draws 105 watts it is 105 watts.........just my rant...good luck with that bulb.........

it will all work...but research will show it changes spectral output of the bulb....a bulb rated at 600 watts gets a different spectral output at a lesser wattage......fact!

As soon as u like...some ppl start in 12/12 mode...personally, i give lots of veg time for bigger results...its all in what u need,size of space..lights,so-on.....again your choice, hit up u tube and u will find helpfull vids for a first timer.

you can push through a filter as i have done it....but there is a drawback, the lesser surface area of the inside of the filter will clog faster...ther are solutions to this also...

Most extention cords that are made for trades use and so on are not a safe way to go...first of all google magnetic ciols , i sure hope your not wrapping the extra 25 feet of each cord in a ciol and leaving it hanging on a wall or floor....also a 1700 watt cord is usually rated at a duty...

Seems you may have entered the flowering stage with a little less stored nitrogen..the affects u see are normal at this stage of growth...some strains are more pronounced while others show very little affects...i would up the nitrogen real good for just one feeding...then resume...they will be...

Carefull when bringing plants in..its always resulted in bugs for my indoor set-up...keep them well apart and shower and change when going to the indoor stash.......assuming U have indoor...
