    My first grow!!

She looks great man, I wouldn't worry about pistils. Just out of stoned curiosity though, how short is short? The longest pistils on my week 5 ww auto are between 1/4 and 1/2 inch (I just peeked at em). Reckon we might see "size matters" jokes following lol...

    Getting started (again) tips wanted

Week 5 pics. Ladies have begun to flower, hence the 'closeup' lol. Gave first dose of big bloom at 1/4 strength. Was doing Just water for the last week. New growth leaf tips are twisting a bit, dunno what to do about that. I've searched and read a bit but haven't found any satisfactory answers...

Mold on soil - NEED HELP PLEASE ASAP !!!! Thank you

The pics are from a bag of Fox Farms Ocean Forest. I mixed the ocean forest 50/50 with happy frog and a little dolomite lime for my current grow. Next time I plan to add in additional blood and bone meals, ground oyster shells, and more perlite to the mix. Or maybe I'll give hydro another shot...

Mold on soil - NEED HELP PLEASE ASAP !!!! Thank you

New bags of soil are not air-tight. They have multiple small holes punched in them to allow the soil to breathe:

    Help needed second grow

If you're sure about the numbers, and your soil runoff is showing 3400 ppm... Yeah that sounds like nute poisoning. It sounds like you tested it fine, water before and runoff after. Only thing is, I might question the accuracy of the EC meter... I mean 3400 as you said, is ridiculous. However...

    Help needed second grow

I wouldn't prune any leaves, it would just shock the plant more. If worried about cal/mag deficiency, you can top dress a tablespoon of dolomite lime (per gallon of soil) into the top 2 inches or so of the soil. It will gently release over time the needed cal and mag into the soil with each...

    Help needed second grow

If using tap water (for anything), it is best to let it sit out in an open container for 24 hours or more to allow the chlorine to evaporate. Not a huge deal if you didn't do this, but for future reference.

    Help needed second grow

I'm no expert, but from what I've read/seen, and looking at your pics, it doesn't look like mag deficiency to me. I would think the plants are too young, and the burned edges too prominent for that to be the case. Again, for what it's worth, I think this is nute burn. A gental flushing followed...

    Help needed second grow

If the problem is indeed nute burn, you could flush them. This is pretty much where my knowledge ends, as I've never flushed before. You'll need to search/get info on flushing. Basically it's just pouring a lot of ph balanced water, sometimes in combo with a flushing solution, through the pots...

    Help needed second grow

In my opinion, (for what it's worth) yes. I believe that's probably what did it. I think when using ocean forest, it's probably best to wait to add any nutes until after a month. And when you do add nutes, start at like 1/4 teaspoon per gallon.

    Help needed second grow

As already mentioned, ffof is notoriously too hot, particularly for seedlings/clones. I cut mine 50/50 mix with happy frog and a little dolomite lime. It's been fine for my white widow autoflowers which went directly into the soil from seed. If the problem is nute burn, adding more ferts will...

Mold on soil - NEED HELP PLEASE ASAP !!!! Thank you

Don't keep your unused soil in an air-tight container. There's micro organisms living in there, and by sealing it off you've created an anaerobic environment wherein aerobic organisms will die off. In short, let it breathe bro. Depending on how long it's been sealed, you may have killed off...

    Getting started (again) tips wanted

week 3 pic Just gave them 2nd feeding. First time was 1/4 teaspoon of grow big per gallon of water, then this time used 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. Next time probably will add 1/4 teaspoon of big bloom in addition.

    Getting started (again) tips wanted

Here's some pics of the grow so far from sprout to 1 week to 2 week. I removed the bottoms from the self-watering pots (the part that holds water) so that they drain normally now, and just placed saucers under them. I'm giving them 2 cups of spring water once every 3 days, which seems to be...

    Getting started (again) tips wanted

First off hello and thanks for having me here. I'm still new to the growing game. I've made attempts at indoor growing twice before with mixed results. And now that it's finally legal here in Oregon, I'm having another go at it. I would really like to hear any and all tips that you guys have to...
