Is Purple Alien OG a powdery mildew vector?

I'm positive. It was definitely PM. It was a small leaf so I plucked it and tossed it vs. cutting off the affected part. I live in a pretty dry environment. The humidity in my room never gets above 40%. Lately it has been in the 20's, so I wouldn't say that conditions are prime for PM. What...

Is Purple Alien OG a powdery mildew vector?

I have a purple alien OG from Harborside that has been in veg for a few weeks. I recently noticed that it has a spot of PM on a bottom leaf. This is strange to me because my room is dry, well ventilated, and I haven't seen any PM on anything else I've done in this room. Has anyone tried this...

Mo's girl scout cookie cut from harvorside

Best of luck with the GSC. I grew it once about 2 years back and got hermaphrodites. That strain isn't stable. I'm kind of surprised that harborside is still selling it. If you get lucky and the plants don't grow balls you should get a very good yield of very good pot. The strain would be a real...

    Transplanting gradually

I think that what you are doing is fine. I typically put my rooted clones in a 1 gal. and then transplant to a 5 gal. after 2-3 weeks. If you transplant a third time all it will do is make your cycle take longer with no real benefit. Just make sure that the plants are root bound in the 1 gal...

    More Help PLEASE

What kind of wattage are you planning on using in this cardboard box? I ask this question mainly because of ventilation. If you are using a florescent light fixture you should be okay with a PC fan, but I recommend using two fans (one on each end of the filter). One fan might work, but keep in...

    Gage Green Group Info Thread

I have a couple of GGG strains going right now. Got them as clones from a friend. Sugartown Express and Grape Puff (2 phenos). The buds on the Sugartown are on the small side. Yield is meh. Quality is good, not great. Keep in mind that I'm a huge snob when it comes to genetics, so when I say...

    Clone only strains

I've had Blackwater for a couple of years now. There are three phenos, but the only one that's worth keeping is the purple pheno. One of the green phenos is airy and complete shit. The other green pheno is more dense, but it's still B grade and not worth growing. I've had pretty good results...

Fungus Gnats feeling hopeless nothing is working

Don't get the mosquito dunks. Those are for outdoor ponds. The mosquito bits are the way to go. It works well, cheap, easy to apply, and it's totally harmless to you and your plants.

10 years with spider mites and how I finally got rid of them.

Yes. Predators work well outdoors, but I personally haven't had much success with them indoors. Ladybugs don't work at all. They bonzai into the light bulb and burn up, or leave altogether. Most other predatory mites have drawbacks. They don't flourish in all climates. Some are slow eaters. The...

Clone leaves turning yellow and brown, slight dropping.

You might have some root rot from too much water. As others have mentioned, let it dry out some and then give it plain water and maybe a little B1 if you have some laying around. The plant looks okay though all things considered. It should be fine.

Experiment " kill those little bastards" has begun!

Hopefully it will go well for you, but if the problem continues try Mosquito Bits. It's a biological control that will eat the larvae in the soil. Totally harmless to you and your plants. It's easy to use and it works really well. Most hardware stores have it...

grow room is @ 89º can I add extra inline fan???

Like I said, I wouldn't want to flower in temps that high. The stress will likely result in mock colas or more spindly buds in general. I've been growing indoors for over 20 years and I'm well aware of how temps affect results. My definition of ideal is 80 degrees, but there is some wiggle room.

    HELP!!

The coco is the problem. It's a great additive to soil because it retains water and it's natural pH is more friendly to cannabis as opposed to peat moss which is highly acidic. The issue is that coco has no nutrients. Good potting soil is a much better growing medium because it has nutrients and...

grow room is @ 89º can I add extra inline fan???

90 is not ideal, but it's on the high end of normal and you can still achieve some success. I've vegged plants indoors in temps that reached 90 and they flourished. You just have to make sure that you water more frequently and airflow needs to be good so the plants have a good supply of CO2...

Looks like it's over for Sacramento County growers...

I think these outdoor bans are a response to various nuisances created by outdoor grows and the crime that is sometimes associated with them. Crime includes theft as well as violent robberies. People who grow outdoors are running the risk of the wrong person finding out by either seeing it or...

Looks like it's over for Sacramento County growers...

Outdoor grows are banned everywhere in Sacramento County. This includes greenhouses since the walls are transparent. Plants must be in an enclosed structure and allowable square footage varies depending on where in the county you live. The city of Citrus Heights, for example, has it's own...

10 years with spider mites and how I finally got rid of them.

I know what you're thinking.... "How dumb do you have to be to have spider mites for so long?" Let me start by saying that I didn't have spider mites the WHOLE time, just that it was an ongoing problem for the past 10 years and I would keep getting them. I used to insist on natural treatments...

HOW TO KILL SPIDER MITES 100%: " Naturally - no chemicals"

I have tried the habanero pepper spray and it DOES NOT WORK. I made some spray that was so potent you needed to have a respirator when applying it. A dust mask is woefully inadequate. So, there was no question about the spray not being potent enough. The problem here is that topical sprays such...

Small, white spots on tops of leaves

It doesn't look like anything you need to worry about. It could be dust or some other particulates from the surrounding environment. Are they really spots, or can you wipe it off with your finger? It's hard to tell from the pics.
