Hey Flowa- I've been following this thread for a while now, and am going to replicate your system. I popped some beans about 2 weeks ago. I started them in RW and have since transplanted them into solo cups filled with perlite. I poked holes about 1" from the bottom, making it a makeshift Hempy...

If your pots have no drainage holes, drill a bunch of 4mm holes. Enough to have good waterflow, but not big enough for the perlite to fall through. If you have drainage holes, you need to make it so the perlite won't fall through. That's the sole purpose of the pot sock.
