I've heard nothing but good things about Advanced Nutrients, so you should do well with them. GH says they use "pH buffers" and I would guess AN is using something much the same. Anyway... all this talk of pH going up and down almost had me worried! Thinking why isn't my rez going up?

Roseman, have you considered changing your nutrient package? I use tap water with a starting ppm of ~330 and a starting pH of about 7.5. With General Hydroponics Flora Series I have virtually zero pH flux.

Smokedup is right about the misting action of the bubbles. However, once the roots hit the deep water it really doesn't matter where the stones are. Even distribution would be what I would look for at that point. As far as how much you spent... it's your money and I won't judge you for it...

Drabstab... please note... I was wrong on my H202 ratios. I was thinking of my 2 gallon mixes. I really use 1/2tsp/gallon (1tsp/2gallon). My H202(35%) recommends 2-3mL/gallon for mature plants. 1 teaspoon = 5 mL You'll need roughly 12x the amount of H202, so you should be using...

I use the GH line as well. Let me tell you how I mix a batch... 1. Fill the rez with water 2. Add your dose of H202. I use about 1 tsp/gallon of 35% H202. If you're using pharmacy grade (3%) use at a minimum 2TABLEspoons/gallon 3. Add your Micro 4. Add your Gro and Bloom 5. Mix and check ppm...
