How's your Super Silver ScrOG coming along? I have one myself, just thought it might be fun to compare.: Here's the latest post on my grow journal.

Malawi Gold ScrOG with Magenta Kessil

I believe all cannabis plants produce trichomes, it's just they're usually larger and more densely packed on strains that were historically grown for hash production (mostly indicas). I'm growing a strain that's supposed to be 90% sativa, and as you can see from this closeup photo, it's got...

200w+ CFL scrog in the attic

Been close to a week since my last photos were taken, so I thought it's about time for another update. The colas are really starting to thicken lately, so exciting stuff! Here's the key to the photos below: 1 & 2: Canopy shots. 3 - 7: Closer shots of colas and flowers. 8: The trichome...

I assume these wasps are predatory and thus beneficial?

...assuming they don't sting me, of course! ;-) I've noticed at least three separate wasps flying around my mother plant. In addition to this unlucky sucker, who was caught by a predator higher up the food chain (albeit MUCH smaller), a spider:

Yellowish spots on some (but not all) leaves

It seems like most of the affected leaves are limited to the center-back part of the canopy (incidentally the area I suspect gets the worst air flow), so I'm suspecting heat is at least a factor here. I've watered with a little epsom salts (about 1 tsp/gal), and it looks like the issues aren't...

230W CFL - Fruity Chronic Juice - SCROG

I think the sativa / indica difference accounts for much of the differences in growth rate. Be careful with that watering, it'll grow faster if you let it get real thirsty between waterings. I water about once every 10 days right now, just a real heavy soaking when I do water.

    First grow-- CFL's

Oh, and as far as a timer, pretty much any timer will do for a CFL grow, but you might want to go slightly overkill with the timer in case you decide to buy more serious lights further down the road. The key is you want a timer that can handle 15-20 amps, or more. Anything less than 15 amps...

    First grow-- CFL's

Got some bad news for you, man... those closeups (3rd and 4th pic) are already showing sex, and it ain't a lady. That's a pair of pollen sacs (also known around here as "nanners" for their banana-like appearance). Got any closeups of the other plant? It might be showing sex, too.

Yellowish spots on some (but not all) leaves

Thanks! I've got some Epsom salts, actually, so I'll try that out right away.

Yellowish spots on some (but not all) leaves

Around day 50 of 12/12 now, this strain goes something like 100 days or more usually.

    Oh and drainage is good.

Yellowish spots on some (but not all) leaves

Haven't been spraying. Using the guides, I was thinking this looks like calcium or manganese deficiency, though there could be a lockout occurring since I don't have a pH meter. Any other suggestions?

    First grow-- CFL's

No worries! I know overwatering is probably one of the #1 newbie errors, so I usually try to point it out. 2700k is usually what's recommended for flowering, though I prefer to mix up a lot of different bulbs. Right now (flowering) I have about 7 bulbs that are 2700k and 2 that are 5000k, and...

Yellowish spots on some (but not all) leaves

So I noticed tonight that some areas of my canopy are showing the yellowish spots in the photos below. About 1/10th of all canopy-level leaves seem to be affected, mostly the large fan leaves just below the major colas. As far as the setup background, this is a single plant in a ScrOG setup...

Also I think you will need more lights. Those look like 100w "equivalent" and 60w "equivalent" bulbs, which are really more like 26w and 13w each. Right now I have over 300w ACTUAL (probably more like 1000w "equivalent") and that's on a single plant ScrOG.

    First grow-- CFL's

The one on the left looks way healthier than the one on the right (which seems to have some discoloration in its leaves). I wouldn't worry about it's slow growth too much at this point, so long as it looks healthy. It's probably just putting energy into root development for a little while...

200w+ CFL scrog in the attic

Definitely more heat from the 13w. I'd say anything less than 20w is not worthwhile.
