The little plant that "topped" itself

I think it's too late to breed her now, ain't it? I've never done that shit before, but don't you have to take cuttings from the plant when she's veggin' for that? Only other way now would be to polinate, and we don't want that. No males around anyway.

    Small amount of purple!

I hear ya, that's my girl I got goin' right now. She's about 4 weeks into flower now and doin' fine. Those are two of the lower buds. Gettin' frosty. She's the subject of the thread I started named "The little plant that topped itself". I don't know if you've seen it or not.

bottom two sets of leafs wilting and dying

The leaves that you save to make hash with are the ones that you trim off of the buds when you are doing your final manicure after harvest. Those bottom leaves are compost bro.

    Whatta ya mean bro?

    Small amount of purple!

It's cool bro. I've had to knock the seed coating off of a seedling a couple of times. Sometimes they do get stuck on the plant when it pops outta the ground. The purple color is normal for a seedling also. Just keep the temps in the mid seventies and the humidity between 50-60% and it will be...

bottom two sets of leafs wilting and dying

1)It's normal for the bottom leaves to turn yellow and FALL off when you are six weeks into flower. 2)Don't cut the leaves off. When the plant is done using them, she'll get rid of them. 3) Flowering plants drink A LOT more water than vegging plants. 4) If the rest of the plant looks good, just...

how long should my plant take to show its sex?

I'd really like to help you my man, but without pics my hands are tied. All I can say is make sure you have no light leaks by sitting in the room when the lights go out for the dark cycle. If there are no leaks, wait a bit longer. Some strains do take longer than others to show sex. Good luck.

Here we go again: Male or female? (early preflower)

It's not the start of a new shoot. Keep this thread handy bro so you can reference back to it later. This way you won't have to start another new thread asking if yours is a male or female. I'm being serious, not trying to be nasty at all.:peace:

    THC Help

From what I know and have read about this, the offspring from every plant will be better than the mother. So if you have some decent weed, and you grow a seed from it, it will be better than the weed you got the seed from. How much better is something you'll have to tell us when you harvest it...

how long should my plant take to show its sex?

Can you put a picture up? If I can see what you have I might be able to help you. Depending on how long the plant vegged for before you put it into flower, it can take between one day and ten days. I've never had a plant take longer than 10 days to show sex. Do you see any pre-flowers?

    Too early to sex plant????

I don't see any hairs in these two pics, but I did tell you it was a female from the pre-flower in the first pic you put up. After you switch the lights to 12/12, pistils will start to emerge from all the pre-flowers on the plant first. Make sure you take note of where the pre-flowers are...

    Question about Humidity

Certain strains are just naturally more "trichome laden" or "frosty" than others. But lowering the humidity during flowering will frost your buds up, and MORE IMPORTANTLY, reduce the risk of mold forming on your buds. 60% is way high for flowering, 40%(or lower) would be better.

Should a 600w ballast get real hot?

Very proud of ya! Like I said, a ballast that is running that hot will burn out loooooooong before one that is kept cool will. You prolly won't have a problem with it. I never said anyone would have a problem. I did say that they are designed to run hot, and I also did say that any...

Should a 600w ballast get real hot?

OK, OK, now I get what your saying. Makes sense and is a good point. See, my thing is I don't care if I use a little extra juice to cool my ballast, if it means that I don't have to worry about that thing overheating when I ain't around, and It gets me the best performance from it. Let me ask...
