Yes, that's the right spectrum for vegging your plant. 5500 is a full spectrum bulb that promotes overall plant growth. When you flower it, you'll want a warm spectrum bulb, 2700.

Some ppl do, most ppl don't. I never do, just tuck them under or out of the way as much as possible. I just feel that if the plant didn't need them, it wouldn't grow them. By the way, great looking plant. Best of luck the rest of the way bro.

I agree with JN811. I have been growing for many, many years, and I have never done that. My plants never had a problem getting triggered into flowering with just switching the lights back the regular way, and after spending 60 days vegging a plant, I'm not taking any chances.
