    HM Digital EC/PPM reading?

The ppm in my res for veg is usually around 1200-1300 halfway between res changes. I feed clones this solution once they have good roots and new foliar growth. Before they start to root I spray them with 5% solution. I use double 10" carbon filteres, the water starts out at about 110ppm. I use a...

Anyone use Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Gro?

How often do you change your water? I change mine once a week. I had problems with burning before, so I talked with the guy at the hydro store. Some of the nutes settle out in the water (I'm sure you have noticed that already), some of the solids stick to the roots also. That's why when the...

Anyone use Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Gro?

On the schedule , where it says to start using Pro Soil, I just continue using Bloom. I add Hydroplex which has a NPK content of 0, 10, 6 plus additional micro nutes that bloom doesn't have.

Anyone use Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Gro?

I have been using Botanicare products for over a year strictly by the directions on the bottle with excellent results. I use Gro and Karma for veg. Bloom, Karma, and Hydroplex for flowering. Clearex and water only for the last week before harvest. It is organic and therfore it is pretty...

    Advantage V. disadvantage CFL's

Hello everybody. It has been a while sence I visited this forum, not because it isn't a great forum, it's just hard to get a definative answer sometimes. Sometimes you get conflicting answers to the same question. I have a lot of videos that I learned a lot from, but even then there are...

    My Drip Irrigation/DWC progress

It seems impossable to get answers to questions on this site. Maybe it's because this forum is too busy, or it could be because there are too many new growers for the veteran growers to be able to help. Either way, this will be my last post. Good luck, and happy harvesting to all.

    My Drip Irrigation/DWC progress

So far I've harvested about 2 oz from this plant, and I estimate that there is about another 1/2 oz of bud still on the plant. Does anybody know if this is a good yield for a plant that was 3 feet tall and about 2 1/2 feet wide?

Best way to deal with nut burn?

I havn't been able to find a CHEAP PPM meter. Without having a PPM meter I would do as stated above. Use a really weak solution for a week or so and let them recover, then gradually increase concentration. How old are your plants, by the way?

Best way to deal with nut burn?

lol....... Babypowder. Sorry, I couldn't resist. They will recover themselves (over time) once you get the ppm right.

    My Drip Irrigation/DWC progress

Going into week 12 now and I wish I had waited to top it. I guess you learn from experience. The bud is good, but it's not knock you on your ass good. The high is kinda cool. It's a spacey kinda high, like taking vicodin or somthing. It comes on quick, but it only lasts for about an hour. There...

First grow hydro drip system suggestions wanted

I run my pump 6 times a day for 15 minute durations. My plants are healthy.

    Chlorine, Tap Water and Plants

I've been using tap water for my entire grow, and I would say that there are no adverse effects. I change both of my res once a week, and my veg res sits uncovered in the veg room, no algie groth... ever. (except for on the top of the rockwool cubes, until I bury them in hydroton.)

First grow hydro drip system suggestions wanted

Your setup is almost identical to mine. Except I'm using two 70watt HPS. There is no real difference between running 18/6 and 24, besides your electric bill. As far as suggestions to make it better... You should veg your plants under a light with more of a blue spectrum. Then bud them under your...

    My Drip Irrigation/DWC progress

Again.... Does anyone know if the flowering duration is shorter with plants started from clones versus plants started from seed?

    My Drip Irrigation/DWC progress

I cut the top. Heres what is left. Next crop is doing good. So are my Habanero plants and my apple tree. Actual flowering time for this strain is going to be about 11 weeks. The clones that I've started to flower, are flowering faster than the origional plant that was started from seed. Is...

    Important PH question

Your pH should stay the same throughout (about 5.8). However, plants do require different concentrations of the major nutrients durring flowering and veg. Are you using the same nute solution for both stages of growth? As far as the aquarium pH adjuster goes, I'm not sure what chemicals it is...

    Drip versus Aeroponic...or...both?

From my understanding Aero is better when done correctly. I use a drip system right now but plan on going to aero at a later date. I'm not sure that crossing the two would have any benifit over using either one or the other by itself. Aero setups (again when done correctly) allow the roots to...

    In the flowering

Do not remove the fan leaves unless they are dead. They produce the energy the plant uses to grow. On mine I cut off the branches of the bottem two nodes because they were way behind the rest of the branches. That way, the plant can use the energy it would have used for the removed branches to...

    feeding question

Oh, yeah... You may have to water more often durring flowering. I do, because I use florescents for veg and HPS for flowering. And I believe the plants need more nutrents and water durring flowering. I used my drip system for my first crop all the way through, and had to doubble the number of...
