"pretty much green and gives paranoia" - some of the strongest, most uplifting smoke I've had has been described by others as paranoia-inducing. that is like the most subjective statement I've seen today. both of the 30+ yr old marijuana cultivation books I have are unequivocal and correspond...

Nothing necessarily wrong with that, aside from impending rains, but I wouldn't say they're behind at all... Mine took forever to really start, blue dream slowest and still isn't even beyond pre-flower. I'm at a relatively high latitude, pacific northwest, so I don't expect anything to finish...

I kept It very simple and got amazing results outside: worm poo Tea once/week to supply good N and boost microbial activity, and then I fed these approx every 3 weeks at about half the quantity the maker specifies, as top dress: Aurora Innovations (1) foundation, (2) grow, (3) bloom Didn't feed...

I got 50 concrete cylinder bricks so I could raise the greenhouse up another foot. My biggest plants appear to be heading for an 8-9 foot finish.

The big one is in a smart pot that was dragged down into a 2' trench after she got way bigger than I anticipated :bigjoint: The rest are in 25 gallon plastic containers that are wrapped with chicken wire that I stuffed with straw. This was to defeat the crazy summer sun, unprecedented heatwaves...

You and me both! Looks so good in the light, thanks for the new pic. My girls were just upgraded to greenhouse status! first night: dehumidifier kept us at a steady 50% all night and beyond, avoiding cool night time temps and the increasingly ridiculous morning dew and high humidity...

Personally I gave up on training with string or tie wraps and am focused on pruning.... but I did learn this: pull the branches outward, using bamboo stakes around the perimiter, rather than downward toward some anchor on the ground. When I made this change I mostly stopped breaking branches...

@Marcshaun beautiful! looks very similar in size to my outdoor Jack Herrer girl. Pictured below is before/after showing 30 days of July growth in my garden. 1 "Jack Herrer" random bag seed (the largest plant, originally in 25 gallon plastic pot, now in 100 gallon smart pot which I moved down...

Nutrient deficiency, cant identify (potassium?), need some help

Today I also found the red/purple speckling starting on the petioles of the lower leaves that are affected, which I believe I've read in some guides is another symptom of K deficiency, maybe check for that too.

Nutrient deficiency, cant identify (potassium?), need some help

Your early stage picture looks like the damage is starting from the inside. I think a potassium deficiency is supposed to start with the edges. Some of your symptoms do match up, though. It can be really tricky, I've been in the same boat for only a few days with a less progressed problem... I...

The sensors I'm using all have standard connections (the grove base shield uses 4 pins, while some digital probes connect directly to the arduino with only 3 pins), grove sensors can be extended easily up to 50cm with longer premade cables...

Arduino Leonardo base board: ~$19 Grove Base shield: $9 LCD: ~$23 Moisture Sensor: $5 Temp & Humidity sensor: $10 so around $70 plus some S&H This basic configuration I have can be extended with a lot of other sensors / those are generally the cheapest part. I know someone who is planning for...

PH sensor is a great idea but I'm using reverse osmosis water and so don't really worry about it. Yeah some of my code may be useful, especially if you use the same LCD unit - i have a loop that reads from sensors and updates the screen with info. You would just need to add PH sensor and code...

the PI is a little more of a fully baked linux computer, gobs more memory onboard and typical peripheral connections (4x standard USB + hdmi + ethernet) than arduino. good compare here: http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/arduino-vs-raspberry-pi/

Started with a basic arduino leonardo board (which was given to me like 3 years ago). To which I added 2 "shields" (boards that are made to mount directly on top and extend the arduino): http://www.seeedstudio.com/wiki/Grove_-_Base_Shield - sits on top of the arduino board and has a plethora...

I'm also working on a custom garden computer (arduino based) to help me track temp, humidity, and soil moisture! I'll post some links to my open source code and hardware setup once I have a few of the edges polished... will be working on tracking daytime max & min temps. Then would like to add...
