Clones continue to improve, chocolope looks a little sick. I've harvested all my free seeds now. I've tasted the moby dick, and am preparing the blue hash and hash haze for consumption. The chocolope has been growing significantly slower than the rest of the clones cut at the same time, and is...

I'm doing something terribly wrong :(

Might want to ask around about that soil, or check some threads. I like to leave the light on, so I can see what the little things are doing. Until the seed case breaks, it doesn't really matter. Just don't put them right next to a 600W or anything like that. CFLs are ideal for the first stages.

    Quick fan question...

Depends how close you want your plants I guess. I get fair results with a tube, 600 and smaller fan, I can put the plants pretty close. It's not perfect cooling, but good enough. I'm in an open space, and a tent may have different needs. It may be that you want more total ventilation for your...

What kind of soil do you have ? And you can plastic wrap the top ( loosely ) to keep the humidity up over the soil if you plant direct.

I'm doing something terribly wrong :(

Advice ( in the previous thread ready-plant-pic-inside ) was good, but the watering all depends on the soil, gotta keep it moist. I like to keep my seedlings almost totally wet, and lower the humidity slowly. But these days I use rapid rooter plugs and a humidity dome for seeds, perfect results.

    What sucks about vapes

It's my belief that most of the large particles are trapped on the side of the wand and hose. The hose gets very sticky inside and seems to catch a lot of the crap. It also depends on how fine, dry or resiny your bud is. The good sticky stuff stays in the wand quite well. Old, dry or poor...

Damn. Found one bubblegum in flowering with balls down low and hairs up high. No pollen released, I got it early enough, but there were tons of small balls. I'd already made at least one clone from it. I can't tell which one though. Now I only have 2 bubblegum from seed left. They both are...

    Question about 600w and distance/temp

There is a trade-off between light distance and heat. Closer light = More light = More bud. But heat kills, I've found again and again. I'd definitely take the extra distance and suffer with more stretch and less yield.

I totally agree. My faith or lack thereof is not your concern nor is yours to me. I will defend the concept of faith in that it is a necessary coping mechanism to get through life. It's study also provides insight into human psychology. Faith is distinct from religion and serves a useful...

    Attention Atheist

Your hubris and self-righteous attitude towards your fellow man does not seem to be limited to spiritual matters. It alienates, and does not help in spreading any spiritual message. And if you are not spreading a spiritual message, you are only stirring up hate and resentment by arguing your...

    Wall street reform

I can't speak to the details of the bill yet, but I think it's a mistake both politically and for the country for the leadership to be considering this as it's next priority. I think people are more concerned about their own jobs and purchasing power than what happens on wall street. Stopping...

    HPS for 4-6 plants?

HPS is not absolute light available to the plant, it is a point source. Everything that doesn't hit the plant's leaves from the source must be 100% reflected back for the above statement to be true. That is why coverage area is so important. Four plants that veg for a while will get pretty big...

    HPS for 4-6 plants?

I'd go for a 600W with more than four plants of that size.

Of course I don't agree with the Gonzales v Raich decision, but it's just one example in a long line of abuses. And there is nothing wrong with the Gibbons v Ogden decision, I don't see any ambiguity there. I'm not in agreement with Bork exactly, at least his reasoning, but I believe he would...

Exxon made 45 billion in profit and paid $0 in federal income taxes

Money flows the path of least resistance, and relatively oppressive US tax laws are to blame. I'm absolutely certain that lower taxes will raise total tax revenue. This is just one example. The only thing that is outrageous is our tax laws. And it's not half of workers who pay nothing, it's...

    Protect teh Childrenz!!

You cannot trust EITHER the government, corporations or the unions to "do the right thing", they are all out for wealth and power. Private sector unions offer a balance of power to management. Public employee unions do not have push-back from the government or profit to share. There is no...

    It's My Life ... !

My apologies, it is my opinion on how government should work based on an interpretation of the constitution. It's certainly not how government works. We could argue about the constitutionality of the 16th amendment or it's ambiguous treatment of taxes, and it's implementation contrary to the...
