you want to have daytime temps above 70f or 21c night time temps can go down to 40f or 4.5c but it would be better to only have a 10 deg swing from high to low.

I would say don't waste your money. I've used that one and one a step up. Blew the threads on the tube with the first one. and blew the threads for the press handle on the second one.

Just me but I think temps need to be around 80. I could have missed it but the cloner works best for me if temps are 81. 78-85 in soil. I've never did just water.

Did you look at that link to htg? they have socket cords. I've got lights from them as have some of my friends. Have nothing but good to say about them.
