    Letting them dry out fully is great but if depending on your 'style' everyday watering can be great. Gotta do it right though,like you said we don't want mud but I try to never let my top layer dry out fully.

    I reread this thread recently and saw you are supposed to let the reused soil sit for 2-3 weeks not days like I had been doing. Explains the probs I started running into. staying up on all my preventatives but Murphys law has been in action over here big time.

    used teabags are good for compost right? Also what are some preventatives you guys use? I know I like apple cider vinegar for PM prevention. Along with neem oil. Insecticidal soap, nematodes, shrimp shells. any recipes for a good oreventative bug spray, like rosemary garlic and mint maybe?
