i'd look into charters in your area.. 200-500 bucks usually gets you a day w/ a chartered guide that knows what hes doing. You learn alot get to spend the day on a nice boat and you always catch fish (well almost always). In canada i would look into pike charters maybe steelhead or salmon not...
