Do you run a sterile rez? Many people use pool shock or h202. I personally use h202 every time I add to rez.

I do recall putting plastic cups over the top of mine as well to keep humidity higher.

Yes it does to clean the filter. Dont think that gets into the drinking water unless I use water during the cleaning/regen phase.

Thanks beehive. I have had this cooltube for about 12 years now and has worked great. Almost too great. Temps in the summer only get about 72-75f. Winter is a pain to get temps up. Lights off winter it drops down in the fifties. Thinking 600w or 1000w would be doable without much to worry about...

For the return lines, how important is it to use 3" vs 2" PVC piping? Been looking and fine tuning my plan, and I could save some cash be reducing to 2" return lines. However people have 3" is the way to go to avoid root clogging the lines. How big of a problem is it?

You're probably right. However I used two part powder formula my first two grows, but I know maxigrow was not part part of it. Damned if I can remember, didn't keep a diary other than what I needed and you know, the usual, too many bong hits. Hell, maybe it was 1 part, bloom all the way. Lol.
