4 weeks into flowering bottom fan leaves are drooping

After the stretch those bottom fan leaves are a good bit farther away from the light, so it's natural that they won't be as perky as those nearer the top. You could add some CFL's down there, at the sides, but I'd say you're good. I think drooping/yellowing leaves are pretty common down below...

    Double Celery Stem, Advice Wanted

400 watt HPS grow, 12 days into flower. I have four Sweet Deep Grapefruit plants. They've all been topped to produce 4 colas. Now the largest of these plants has two 'celery' stems - they basically look like a thick, green PC ribbon cable. The other two main stems are regular. A little research...

(PICS) HOW AM I DOING? week 6 flowering day 45 12/12

Looks like that light leak has held her back. You've quite a few weeks to go. Yield is impossible to judge at this stage for a noob like me, possibly for anyone!

Help needed! Want to change light on time.

Ha you're right. I never considered the other option of simply cutting the day period short by six hours. Tomorrow I'll turn the lights on at 12 midnight, and turn them off again at 6am, and start 12/12 from there.

Help needed! Want to change light on time.

To clarify, right now the lights come on at 12 midnight, and go off at 12 midday. I'd like to change this to lights come on at 6pm, turn off at 6am. So without doing it gradually, I either have to have a dark period of only six hours, or one of 30. I'm aware I'm probably overthinking this and...

Help needed! Want to change light on time.

And give them only six hours of darkness? Or leave it a full 30?

Help needed! Want to change light on time.

Thanks very much for the tip Aim Aim. Will they take some time to adjust to the new timing? I know next to nothing about plant biology but I assume they'll experience some stress?

Help needed! Want to change light on time.

My plants are ten days into flower and starting to stretch. They vegged for over 5 weeks and they seem to be very healthy. My problem is that daylight savings time has just kicked in where I live, and the clocks have gone forward an hour. The daytime period for my plants was starting at 11pm...

It's finally time for me to quit reading and just grow!!!

Good idea. You should leave lots of dummy files etc in the house, and take some with you when you leave, so that your neighbours can see there's a reason for you to be going in there. Best of luck with this, I'm interested to see how it pans out, particularly how long it takes before your wife...

    How comfortable are U ?

The guys in my local hydro store know some of the cops on the beat in the area by name. Weed is 100% Illegal where I live. I'm cautious on my way in and out of the grow shop, but that's more because I don't want to be seen by anyone I know. After people who I know would be disapproving and...

First Attic Grow, Northern Europe. Sweet Deep Grapefruit

And a picture of my electronics. Main power is surge-protected at source, then into this five-way block which has a built-in energy meter so I can see how much the grow costs. Bottom of the picture is a timer for the amient heating, on during the day at the moment until the weather improves...

First Attic Grow, Northern Europe. Sweet Deep Grapefruit

An update. I vegged for 38 days, topping the plants once below the 3rd node in an attempt to get four main colas. This worked very well for three of the plants, while the fourth seems to have some other growth sites competing with the four main stems. I've considered trimming these back to give...

distance from plants to my Sealed hood

You want to get the lights as close to the plants as possible without heat-stressing them. If your sealed hood is air-cooled, then that could be extremely close. I think 7-8" should be fine as long as the temperature at the top of the plants is ok. A 1000w light will have good penetration, so...

    Transplanting Question

Thanks very much for the replies. I think I'll transplant to 19l pots, as that's as big as I think my tent will conceivably hold.
