    Meanwell XLG 320 vs HLG320

What are the main differences between these two drivers? I see the XLG is rated at 315w @ 93% efficiency and the HLG is rated at 321w @ 95% efficiency. Is the 6 more watts worth the extra money? Why or why not?

Comparing 300w LED lights / Chilled vs Mars Hydro

The SP 3000 runs on a ELGC-300-H-AB which is an output voltage of 58v, whereas the X3 runs on a 48v HLG320. How does this affect the output? The mars doesn't have that many more diodes compared to the X3. 960 mars and 885 chilled. The chilled is pulling 330w from the wall while the mars is...

    Anyone wanna talk about leds?

I'd raise the light as far as it'll go and full blast or 80% -then put em on 100% after flip. You're saying your plants wig out if you go from 150w to 300w? I'm not sure if that makes sense asit is an insignificant amount of light increase. It would be like an outside plant getting deficient...

    1000w LED on Lightmover

what about the operational cost by the power company? Does the cost of a new 1000 dollar light plus the added 12kwh a day really make up for it if the lightmover produces the same? Let's see what this little experiement will show us. I've heard people claim that light movers don't even work with...

    1000w LED on Lightmover

I have been unable to find any information about using a lightmover on a LED fixture, but I finally found someone who is testing this out:

Comparing 300w LED lights / Chilled vs Mars Hydro

I am trying to understand the mechanics behind these two designs: Chilled Growcraft X1: 160w Total diodes for 2 X1's: 590 total diodes @ 320w driver Diodes: LM301H EVO and LM301B EVO Mars hydro SP 3000: 300w Total diodes: 960 total diodes @ 300w driver Diodes: LM301B There is a difference of...

    Scorpion diablo X

@2:06 states that they are 301H Evo's and 301B Evo's. I count total 3888 of these...? What even is Mint white (ma) and (mb)? Come on.. spill the beans... my balls are turning blue.

    Crowdfunding/Collaboration - LED Light

Right. Not cool at all... typical bullshit. I believe there are companies that handle crowdfunding or crowdsourcing I guess would be the better term. These companies will guarantee delivery of the product within the agreed timeline and whoever is interested in investing will receive the agreed...

    Crowdfunding/Collaboration - LED Light

F... me if I'm too ambitions, I am an anarchist, but I don't think it is rocket science to have in example these guys print a metal core circuit board: https://www.pcbway.com/pcb_prototype/Metal_core_PCBs.html Can someone confirm if the 'design files' for this strip is a 'cad' file for the...

    Crowdfunding/Collaboration - LED Light

Exactly... if you want to add far reds or UV, and for those who think deep reds still matter, you have to buy strips of like 11 diodes and shove them between the rows... I mean it works, it isnt that... but would be good to have a strip which already has all the good stuff, at a much lower price!

    Crowdfunding/Collaboration - LED Light

Well yeah... diy leds are mostly modules w/o reds from either bridgelux or samsung. I'm talking about designing strips with far reds (osram, samsung or cree) incorporated, maybe even some UV (LG). The strips from these companies don't include reds, except that one lm301H Evo strip from Samsung...

Introducing the very latest SAMSUNG LED Technology - LM301H EVO & LH351H V3

Thanks for the clarification, that actually makes sense! Do you know if it is only the H Evo series, or also 301B Evo series?

    Crowdfunding/Collaboration - LED Light

I'm not sure if this has been up for discussion before, but I have experienced pretty good collaboration efforts (in example) watch forums and such in crowdfunding/sourcing a new product. In this case a product by LED lovers for LED lovers. Just throwing it out there... hopefully it could lead...

Introducing the very latest SAMSUNG LED Technology - LM301H EVO & LH351H V3

Would be good to see the science behind this. I'm surprised at how little research, at least publicly available, exists on these new diodes. I'm also surprised at how little Samsung even seems to care...

Introducing the very latest SAMSUNG LED Technology - LM301H EVO & LH351H V3

the lm301h evo's efficiency is much lower than 301b evo's. Does the spectrum of the H make up for it? I don't get the hype... The lm561c's are more efficient.

    LED Lights

You should just get 200 ea 100w strips... like the f-series gen 3 https://www.win-source.net/products/detail/samsung/samsung-si-b8uz91b20ww.html Then just use 4040N1 aluminum extrusions as heatsinks. 4040's are thick enough to where you could run 2 strips for each row. So for every 6 rows...

    LED vs Solar Power (Offgrid)

Edit on that. The total system cost for 50kwh system would be $16,000 shipped as I've opted for a on-grid tied system without mounting brackets. Electricity prices here for 100kwh x 12hours a day x 365 days a year is $13,000 per year just to run the 12 lights. That is not taking into account...
