Am i doing it wrong? -pic included-

I am saying that is what I would do, this is your grow. For future reference using soil from outside is not great idea, critters, molds, dog piss, you never know what your gonna get. Even MG would be preferable to me. But again, that is me. Looks like you have maybe 3 gallons of soil mix there...

They don't look bad, in fact they look pretty good. The issue you are going to have is root space. Unless you are planning on flowering very soon, you are not gonna have enough space. Another problem is the solution to the first problem. Transplanting them is gonna be a bitch and shock the shit...

I am new to this but true to this!

If your ambient temp is 87 that is too hot for seedlings, I would get it down to 76-82. ROOTS is a great soil but pretty 'hot' for seedlings, the issue here as BUDS said is too much soil for such small plants. Let them get pretty dry between waterings, don't soak the medium when you do water...

Newbie Central Open Talk and Advice Thread

HMMM this thread started me thinking maybe what RIU needs is a new forum that is concisely and consistently moderated to maintain it's purpose of encouraging farmers. I know we have newbie central and that is great. What I am talking about is a 'troll free zone'

Now ain't that what the FREE THE WEED movement is all about? If everyone who wants to grow, gets the knowledge and ability to do so, prohibition will not be able to sustain

This is a fantastic idea...on the surface. I am in but how are gonna keep the trolls out? They're out there now seeing this thread and drooling, waiting to jump the first person that asks how to germ a seed.

    Need help fast

you can try to put some cloning gel or powder on both ends and "graft" them together with some tape or even chewed bubble gum. Chewing it first releases all the sugars that are in it.

    Mary Jane Medic Needed!

HMM, I did not look at the pics last night because I was unsure of clicking a link here. But, I saw them and they are beautiful for the most part +rep. I would still consider transplanting though look at the drain holes are there roots sticking out? The one with the issue looks like an MG...

Help brown tips curling and brown spots on leaves.....

As long as there is green a plant can live. I only saw 1 pic there that even remotely showed signs of male buds, the first one on the last post but it is so blurry I cannot tell.

First post - Need advice on my lighting fixture

2 feet of veg height would be good for that space sure. If you are gonna go straight 6500k for veg and 2700k for flower, do not do the swap until you change light cycle.

Help brown tips curling and brown spots on leaves.....

All MG products have time released water activated nutes. So, every time you water, you also feed. When you do water how much are you giving them> That is likely the issue, too much water releasing to much nute cause you got burn there.

First post - Need advice on my lighting fixture

no need, but if you have them available and can handle the electric bill why not use them. You can never have too much light, except like I said before in seedling stage.

First post - Need advice on my lighting fixture

^^^agreed...remember that seedlings do not require a shit load of light I use just 1 per seedling for the first 3-4 nodes. Like said before I would use all available lights just moving them around so the proper spectrum for the stage is the primary source.

Things are great, got a new job and moving into my own place soon. I am looking for the usual comforts we all like in a home. But, adding the dynamic of a safe place to pursue my hobby is making it a bit difficult. How you been?
