With rain water, I'm in the same boat as @Nutty sKunK , my solutions are always acidic. I make stock solutions with Agsil16. I still have a gallon bottle of phosphoric acid around somewhere, it's lasted my around 10 years.

I buy whatever base salt, calnit and epsom my local distributor has in stock for that year. It's usually Jack's or Masterblend, sometimes only ICL is available. My last haul for 150lbs of ferts.

If you're using a fully soluble salt-based nutrient you can foliar the main nutrient. Something mild in .3-.4 EC range.

There is all ready magnesium sulphate in the nutrient solution. The foliar feed is a supplement in addition to normal feed.

Most people use plain epsom salt found at a local pharmacy at 1-2g/L.

That totally makes sense, the healthy plant is feeding normal. They other plant may have some sort of root issue, pH, disease, pests...etc.

It never hurts to do a runoff check now and then, record EC and ph of the input and runoff solutions.
