    Need help please

Carotenoid pigment found in cannabis throughout its life. Generally, it's seen best when chlorosis occurs, as the chlorophyll hides it through sheer numbers. It's seen as a "yellow" colour. Carotenoid sees green light, but the effects are less, yet still present. Its not recommended to use...

Is it risky to remove fan leaves 5 weeks into flower?

The real facts, nothing more nothing less. Take from this your own opinion. *leaves are responsible for all the uptake of nutrients and water. *leaves are responsible for "photoexitation", and carbon fixation. *leaves are responsible for waste management, and CO2 intake. *leaves are...

    Flushing question

To flush media, it only takes 2-3 times the volume. After that, you're no longer flushing, youre starving. Call it what it is.

    Prune fan leaves in flowering?

Leaves die in fall off naturally, sure, but not because the plant says it's time. Instead, as photosynthesis occurs, chlorophyll breaks down in a process called "photoexitation", where electrons are stolen from each pigment (including chlorophyll), and used in photo system 2, during the Calvin...

    Prune fan leaves in flowering?

I've been in heated discussions in the past here on RIU, and, even though I'm not innocent, I don't think name calling is the best method to educate ignorance. ..food for thought.

    Prune fan leaves in flowering?

*Leaves are the reason water&nutrient uptake occurs. *Leaves turn light energy into chemical engery *Leaves control chemical waste of the plant. *Leaves make photosynthate (plant food) The information is pretty much straight forward, and uncontestable. Removing leaves is not going to help...

    Organic vs. hydro... another rant.

Aquaponics is aquaculture and horticulture, combined. 99% of the phosphate in my system is through my fish feed, which may include: Organic Rice Bran, Organic Canola Meal, Organic Whole Corn, Organic Alfalfa Meal, Organic Linseed Meal, Dicalcium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Choline Chloride...

    Organic vs. hydro... another rant.

I only adjust the pH of the water if emergencies arise, like mechanical overflow problems and spills, where I'm required to replace hundreds of gallons of water. It's happen before, a couple of times, due to design flaws in the system, as I keep changing things, and building new addons...

    You're correct, it is.

    Organic vs. hydro... another rant.

Here is an example of soil-aeroponics within my system. There's plenty of microbes within my system, and within the hydro, and soil areas.

Does this look like a phosphorus deficiency?

Even with organic-hydro like aquaponics, the highest I like to go is 6.8pH, at the zenith.

Does this look like a phosphorus deficiency?

What's your substrate again, hydro? With that range of pH swing, I'm thinking lockout. Hydro is normally best set for 5.8-ish, unless you're using organics to help with uptake. 6.8 is pretty high.

    Organic vs. hydro... another rant.

I have a medium sized recycling aquaponic system; about 1300 gallons and growing. In this system, I grow hydroponicly. Soil-less, meaning the roots are in net pot only, with a neoprene top, and also aeroponicly hanging with aquaponics feeding and spraying the roots below. In other plants in the...

RDWC Do I Flush Or Not? 4 weeks to go on my first RDWC grow.

You can't wash water out with water. Flushing is to wash media or soil.

    Organic vs. hydro... another rant.

Seriously, the debate is moot to me as I grow hydro-organic. Hydro mean soil-less. Organic is a classification. How is this a debate?

    Am I wasting microbes?

Most of us "organic-hydro" guys make our own nutrients, as opposed to buying pre-mixed bottled stuff. It's really not for ideal means to grow cannabis for the newer farmer.
