The Cheese, The Whole Cheese and Nothing but the Cheese

white powder on young stems and leaves. Mold....??!!

Yes they do. They stink. Use with no fans and only during lights out. for bad case of PM, hit the room with 11 hours during the lights out period, use the final hour to put the fans and extraction back on to get rid of the vapur before the lights come back on. sulphur vapour will tend to burn...

    I really need some help

you shouldn't need to use pH up this early in the grow. You also know the rule about not mixing pH up and pH down in the same res... right?

You don't need silica... it's pure bullshit. NPK and the micros are all you need.

So why do AN think differently? This quote was taken directly from their own website: + CAN RHINO SKIN AFFECT PH? Yes, Rhino Skin is a powerful pH Up formula that can dramatically raise pH, even when used in very small amounts. To ensure that Rhino Skin is properly dissolved and distributed...

The Cheese, The Whole Cheese and Nothing but the Cheese

Yeah you do OK, i'm just concerned that it seems you may be over feeding early on. when a plant gets lots of food (more than it needs) it will respond by growing a thicker stem and it won't stretch as much. the plant does this as it is growing to it's full potential. However, as the nutes in...

    Flushing Nutrients

plants pick and choose what nutrients they want like you would the food from a buffet. You can't force food into the plant, aside from foliar feeding, but even then the plant can just close the stomata. Plants also have a salinity tolerance, so long as you are below that and K transport is fine...

white powder on young stems and leaves. Mold....??!!

Sulphur Burners will prevent more spores from appearing. i'm sure sopmebody has already told you that PM is systemic, once the plant has it there is no cure unless the plant finds immunity, which can happen. The thing is, if you have PM then there is a very good chance your plant will be...

white powder on young stems and leaves. Mold....??!!

sulphur burners are fine during flower. also help to kill the fungi that causes bud rots too... also helps to keep bugs down. sulphur burners are a must-have tool for the grower in the know.

    I really need some help

other things that will stop them growing are over watering, maybe a pathogen is attacking the root system... this early in the grow you don't have salinity issues that's for sure... pH, but only if the silica is messing with it, pH is not as much of a problem as people will have you believe...

    I really need some help

i have started seedlings at 3.2EC... cannabis has a salinity tolerance and trust me my friend you've barely touched it. so something else is wrong... you noticed it when you fed them... how much silica did you use? silica will fuck with your pH slowly over time. You have to mix it properly and...

Thanks for that.. care to expand? Or, as I suspect, is this beyond your capability? how often do they flush fruit trees? or farmlands? or the nutrients from the atmosphere? they don't and you can't.

The Cheese, The Whole Cheese and Nothing but the Cheese

that site claims to give an american conversion from EC, which is x 500... but it actually gives the european conversion that is 700. very interesting, seems the website owner is mistaken somewhere. what brand meter do you have? for you to be getting the correct EC conversion from that site you...

    I really need some help

400ppm on what scale? can you give an EC reading? those leaves are underfertilised. you say you add silica, are you aware that this acts as a pH up? it takes a while to change the pH. i think you have pH issues due to the silica.

this is information on how to flush when you've over fertilised. when flushing at the end of the grow it should take a couple weeks, no need for a bathtub.

    diy pots?

the root system will grow to whatever confines you put to it. I have grown SoG hydro in a 2" (yes, 2 inch) reservoir. I have also grown seed plants through to full harvest in 4" pots many, many times over. the root system simply grows wherever there is space, doesn't matter about going down.

    Super Lemon Haze--First Hydro Grow

I smoked a fair amount of SSH in the dam, i rate it as high as amnesia haze... chocolope is another nice one... but for me the SSH and the Amnesia haze are the best you can get in seed form.

    Flushing Nutrients

no need to ever do a flush at the end of the grow. although doing so will save you some money on nutrients, the fallacy that you smoke nutrients is spread by people that don't know any better.
