Cfls will not give u good quality smoke. 250 watt hps doesn't put off much heat at all and they're perfect for 3 plants. Works perfectly fine in a closet. Just keep it dark during lights out and you will be fine.

u will end up spending way more on cfls. i have tried that route. by the time you buy enough cfls, light sockets, time spent wiring everything, youll realize u could have invested money on something worth while. that being said a 150 HPS is perfect. no/little heat. so why not? even a 250...
