    Water soaking/ hash oil

more specifically its called salting out. Skunk pharm has the details in the polishing section. You're going to need a good non-polar solvent.

Tale of a BHO Explosion(What Went Wrong?!?!)

Well the 75% in a 10x10 room that I mentioned assumes the already present air is displaced by the butane gas with no leaks of butane and of course no pressurization. I would guess that their ignition source (a burning bowl for instance) is probably up too high and the butane is pooling on...

Tale of a BHO Explosion(What Went Wrong?!?!)

I would not underestimate the expansion of butane into a gas. Reducing concentration with fans in a enclosed space below ignition point of "1.86 to 8.41 percent butane to atmospheric air content" is probably much harder than you are giving credit for. The expansion ration is around 233:1. If...

Tale of a BHO Explosion(What Went Wrong?!?!)

I have always considered static to be a real safety issue. Precautions must be taken to prevent a discharge and cause a explosion. Touch a grounded metal plate, stand on a rubber mat, wear rubber gloves, etc. Having said this it seems obvious that any electrical device would be a major safety...

    "The big secret"

Terp stew? I would stick to only the terpenes found in cannabis for extracts because nobody really knows if burning or even vaporizing some of these chemicals are harmful in the long term. The ones in cannabis we can intelligently guess that they are not harmful. On the other hand adding...

    Supercritical Fluid Extraction of Cannabis

CO2 is selective which means that changing the pressure and or temperature will make different quality yields. So how would you be able to control these variables enough to produce a better extract than bho with your setup ? There is also a valid danger of making a dry ice bomb, so CO2 should...

    "The big secret"

You say it's terpless then say it smells like lemon? Instability could be because because it's decarbed or as the result of the terpenes which are non-polar and act as a solvent. Either way gooey concentrates are always a bitch to work with.

    terpene infused concentrates

Maybe I worded the original post somewhat biased sounding, but it seems like mentioning that you infuse your concentrates will cause an automatic reaction without much thought. Maybe those companies doing it knew that and wanted you to try without the preconceived notions (I always give people...

Sorry I accidentally made this thread. Please respond in the same title thread that has polling. Thanks Mod please delete

    terpene infused concentrates

Recently a few companies have admitted to adding food grade terpenes from non-cannabis sources to their concentrates. Please vote how do you feel about this practice? For those who don't understand what terpenes are and how they effect you follow this...

    "The big secret"

IMHO I would much rather smell and taste the natural constituents of the plant than any recreation, but knowing how hard it is to find fresh clean trim to process into a flavorful concentrate I would say that this stuff is going nowhere. When it comes down to cost if a product is not 100%...

    "The big secret"

I really think the whole issue of infusing concentrates is going to split the cannabis community just like BHO and water ice hash. Its not going anywhere and IMHO if enough people don't like it then concentrates that do capture the natural terpenes of the strain should be priced accordingly...

    "The big secret"

So recreating the terpene/flavor of a specific strain is too complex, but your saying that Lebermuth Co would probably have the most experience?

    "The big secret"

Well said. I think that they probably could kill two birds with one stone by saying its solventless. They didn't want the feds after them, and for marketing obv. I agree that it's shady advertising on the soventless aspect, but how do you feel about the added terpenes from non-cannabis sources...

My oil wont wax, please help

Yes it does, and that's why your second response is incorrect. When you decarb it changes its structure from crystalline to amorphous. So decarbing is a one way street and after its done it will not be a solid at room temperature ever again.

    "The big secret"

These guys are probably adding food grade terpenes from other sources to their product. They are not extracting and reintroducing them. Here's a simple test. Has anyone had any of the clear that did not smell exactly the same as the last? If it did smell exactly the same it has added terps from...

    D-Limonene Infused Extracts

Limonene is a terpene and a ingredient in an essential oil but not one itself. Do not add any other essential oils to cannabis. I think there is some stuff they sell at the clubbs called "Pure Gold" and they add d-limonene to it. It is naturally found to different degrees in most cannabis...

    QWISO - White Powder?

It's most likely atmospheric water that has been introduced. When you dissolve the oil in alcohol and then introduce water it will turn white. AKA the Ouzo effect.
