Marijuana Activists Don't Like CO's New 35-Day Waiting Period

Please define "someone from the state". Matt Cook the director of the Medical Marijuana Enforcement Division of the Department of Revenue sent a Memo clearly defining the 35 wait period as not optional. Here's a link to the memo...

    Jobs at dispensaries in Co?

The Dept of Revenue has not yet established the rules or license application process for employees. I believe the 2 year residency only applied to key personnel such as owners or managers. This is what is written in HB10-1284, i believe it indicates that you simply be a resident to work in an...

    Where Can I Find Patients?

Plant count vs. rec's means nothing in a Federal Trial. He can't even mention "Medical" in his trial since that isn't recognized federally. Good luck trying to defend yourself without that. Being less than 1,000 feet from a school puts him in a drug free zone. That adds double onto any penalty...

Questions on the new Change of caregiver/address form

If you check the box for MMC and Self, you have to make an agreement on who is going to grow how many of the six plants. Ie dispensary grows 3 and patient grows 3. Both can't have 6. We have some patients with expanded recs. We'll only grow the 6 allowed by the constitutional exception. If...

    Where Can I Find Patients?

Right, but now you are talking about you and you wife as just patients not both as caregivers for 5 each. If it's just you two, I don't think that's a problem sharing a grow space. Add in 10 patients and I think you would have a problem. It's not as easy as you think to so the state and/or...

    colorado caregivers question

To make it work you have to stagger your plants into flower and finish one a month or so. If you flower all 3 at once then you will always end up with too much. Option 2 is to make hash out of the leftovers. Bubble hash factors into the weight value the same as bud. But, yes it sucks...

Marijuana Activists Don't Like CO's New 35-Day Waiting Period

It's always been that way, it's not a new law. It was written that way in Amendment 20. People were fairly lax about it because it was somewhat vague and undefined. I guess it's defined now. Sucks that the Department of Health can't fill out a red card in a reasonable time even after...

    Where Can I Find Patients?

I read your previous post. I am not a lawyer and I suspect that you aren't either. Shouting to the world that married caregivers have an exception to the law and can go right ahead and combine grows for 72 plants may not be the best advice to give people looking to stay out of jail.

    Where Can I Find Patients?

Ummm I don't think you were very good at the interpretation of on that last statement. HB10-1284 says that if you list somebody as your caregiver, then you can not grow for others. I believe their intent was that if you are incapacitated enough to require a caregiver, then you really wouldn't...

Pay me for giving you CG rights

Pre HB10-1284 there used to be quite a few free deals kicking around. If you found a great caregiver, an ounce a month was pretty easy. Now, since caregivers can only grow for 5 patients they need to get paid to cover expenses. They can't sell the overgrow into the dispensaries to cover...

    Selling to dispensaries in CO....

The OPCL, [Optional Premise Cultivation License] application and $1200 fee had to be submitted by the dispensary by 8/1. If not, they can submit another one until 7/2011, and even then it is after local licensing and approval. This is for the Colorado State licenses... I know nothing about the...

    Where Can I Find Patients?

That statement is not true. However it did apply prior to the passing of HB10-1284. The previous 5 patient rule was repealed because the health department failed to take public input and was easy to turn over. The clause below is from a new LAW passed this year and most definitely is in...

    Where Can I Find Patients?

Agreed, if you provide good product and service to your patients you will have no problem finding them. Be sure you read up on HB10-1284, the law regulating the business passed this year. Couple of important points: Caregivers are limited to 5 patients Caregivers can only charge for actual...

    Selling to dispensaries in CO....

Not sure what they did for you, but in order to legally grow for a dispensary you had to have the agreement completed by 8/1 and the dispensary had to submit an Optional Premise Cultivation License [$1200 app fee]. Be careful, I don't believe your transactions will be as legal as you think...

    Selling to dispensaries in CO....

I know lots of people. That does not change the law. If you are talking about under the table black market sales, that is one thing. I was talking about legitimate LEGAL sales which was the topic of this thread. Do I have the opportunity to buy meds from patients and caregivers? Of course...

Colorado works nothing like that. Only another dispensary can sell to a dispensary.

    Selling to dispensaries in CO....

I even see places advertising "Doctor on Site" as well as open past 7pm in the local rag. They don't care or don't know I guess. If they are still buying caregiver/patient meds, they could lose their license or potential to get one.

Flower 3 but stagger them so the all don't finish at once ? It's better than the option you have in Kansas... Flower one, go to jail. But, yeah it sucks.

    Centennial seeds from boulder

After the implementation of HB10-1284 there were a lot of patients either released by caregivers or had their MMC close on 8/1 that have recently signed into our center. Growing plants takes a few months to catch up to this volume :) Yes, dispensaries are still tied to patient counts for...
