I woud keep them under the 18 hour cycle for atleast 2 months, but your problem is you only have a 400w light, I would recomend atlest 2 1,000 watt hps in your situation, unless you have a light mover, then you could just use 1,000 watt, or you can try to grow some outdoors and keep 4 inside...

I usally would go with a 400 watt hps light. you really don't need any other light to run your grow room, plus you'll see amazing results im currently growing white widow and crystal limit, some how ww is supposed to harder to grow, but I must be doing something right i will post pics of the up...
