You don't need to soak the hydroton in a solution, but you do need to rinse it. I ad the the rockwool to the hydroton when the roots start coming out of the rockwool. I only ever soak the hydroton in hydrogen peroxide if I plan to re-use it

powdery mildew is caused by low or lack of airflow, whats ur ventilation like in ur grow room

No need for bigger rockwool cubes just put the 1.5 rockwool cube in the grow pots and surround it with clay pebbles

LST (low stress training) will help the plant grow horizontal instead of vertical, if you search some threads here you'll find step by step instructions

I like soil because I find its much more forgiving than hydro (less ph problems and such) but for all my indoor plants I use hydro, haven't had a pest problem in over 2 years

they do alright provided they don't get too tall

There great for vegging, you can flower with them but you won't get as dense buds as u would with an hps

I have the 2ft 4 bulb t5 fixture its good for vegging plants and I used it for flowering once it was alright for one plant, i liked it so much i bought a second one
