    Ballast: is it necessary?

Hey, I"m working on my first indoor grow and am using 100w equiv cfls and was wondering if I need a ballast. I was planning on having a power strip and then having an extension cord w/ a converter to change from power cord prongs to a bulb socket. Would this work? Thanks:blsmoke:

fertilizer and nutrients questions and comments

The seed companies spend years trying to perfect their seeds. All we really need to do is stick them in some dirt and let them do their thing. That's what I do, just get some GOOD soil(fox preferably) add perlite for drainage, and then let nature take it's course. Now naturally if a plant looks...

Yeah, if you plant them in the woods, then you should be good. I know in my area helicopters will occassionally fly along the powerlines(maybe looking for weed??)

    rubbermaid growbox/lighting Questions

Yeah thanks. I thought about that, but it's going to be difficult to run a hose all the way over to the corner. I could just hide it in the insulation though. It's in my parents house so it's super risky, but I really want somehting to hold me over until my outdoor plants are done. If the air...

    rubbermaid growbox/lighting Questions

Yeah, I think I should be fine w/ the heat the bulbs put off, the only thing i'm worried about now is the intake heat. My grow is going to be in my attic which gets very hot during the summer, probably somewhere around 90 degrees.
