you can put the light as close as you want, the real issue is HEAT. feel w/ your hand to determine if its too hot for your babies, i keep my 1000watt a lil over a foot away - but if you have an air cooled reflector (or one w/ a strip of glass) then you can get them inches away without burning them.

wait a few weeks, you want there to be enough vegetation so that you get atleast somewhat of a decent yield. from germination, id say wait atleast 3+ weeks - by then it would prolly be around the size of a plant for sea of green. its all about how much you wanna yield, if you flower after 1-2...

yea you can easily get away with it, i plug mine into a surge protector.

go with pf tek first, the jars/cakes are perfect for beginners. i still make jars at first, and sometimes i fruit them as is or make casings. you should just fruit the cakes as they are, the yield is good and you get alot of experience.

you mean those yellowing things? for photosynth to occur, pigments chlorophyll A and B must be present, which are green. if he clips about 50% of the fan leaves, mostly the yellowing ones, then the bud itself will get DIRECT light instead of having to get it from those nasty dying fan leaves...

yea i use pure blend pro but i dont use it for sprouts/clones in rockwool. i use liquid karma for that

yea i agree, molasses is good for those last 2 weeks. you could also use Sweet, or flush with it too.
