    amber trichs before/after harvest???

I found this interesting. I'll have to harvest a lot earlier then - or I would get.... dead amber... ;-) (BTW: I got two different answers above, both cannot be true).

8th Week, Blue Widow and AK-48

Try cutting of a small sample, then study the trhics outside your growroom on a white piece of paper. It can be hard to study trichomes under HPS light, the thricomes are reflecting/refracting HPS-light (and your environment).

    amber trichs before/after harvest???

What do you mean, PoppaDoc? Anyone have an answer? I know the question sounds stupid, but now I'm curious.

    amber trichs before/after harvest???

Yes, I believe it's the same thing. Amber is amber. From personal experience, a LOT of cloudy trichs will turn amber during curing. However, I don't know this for a fact - maybe milky thrics that become amber during curing is not "true amber"? Anyone else?

    Why are my plants drooping?

The plants can't handle more than X hours, then droop? Sounds like too much light (or more correct, too little of something else).

    Severe curling under of leaves...HELP!!

Leaves also can suddenly - we are talking hours - "claw" like that when they get more water than they bargained for.

Yellow/Brown spots on lower fan leafs 2 weeks into flowering | rep+

Lockouts are hard to diagnose, especially online. Could be cold roots at night (less than 19c), nutrient-ratio lockout, or simply the good old PH-lockout. It is probably related to flowering, as you are only 2 weeks in. Did it look healthy at the start of flowering? Is this the only plant...

all my fan leaves turned yellow and died. I'm in week 4 going on 5

Maybe you gave it too much N? (which could make it struggle to feed because of nutrient-ratio inbalance in your medium. But this lockout could be because of PH too, of course). Also, you say you are 4 weeks into bloom. At this stage, a lot of plants crave for Mg, I give mine Epsom salts around...

Exhaust question. 2 in line fans (different CFM) in the same vent. Advice needed...

I have two identical inline fans in serial. This makes them twice as strong, but not any faster, exactly what I needed to suck air through my Carbon Filter (it had to much restriction for my single fan). Might depend on the fan though, I don't know. Mine are designed that way (S&P TD 100), so...

Distance from HID light in a 95% reflective Mylar tent

@Dako: Light is "absorbed" by the DISTANCE (travelled) itself! Your qoute about "energy levels" doesn't make sense because of this, because the energy fades simply because of distance - and it fades incredibly fast. Even if mylar reflected 100% there would still be a loss, after a couple...

    End of Flower Cycle question

It IS a myth, but it's a myth that has recently been researched, and there seem to be some thruth to this myth. Sorry for no source, I don't remember where I read it. Anyway, IMHO, the plant is not harmed by 24 hour darkness before harvest, so why not do it?

    Need Help With Light

I'm not sure what your're asking about, if it is simply 250 vs 400 watt, and your space, then: 250 watt hps: Area covered (horizontal reflector) is about 61 cm x 46 cm (2 x 1.5 feet). 400 watt hps: Area covered (horizontal reflector) is about 90 cm x 61 cm (3 x 2 feet). Source (and more info)...

    Chlorine evaporation

Because of the very cold & dry weather, I fill buckets with HOT water from the tap, and put in my grow room. This will increase RH nicely, but I'm wondering.... does the chlorine harm the plants as the water evaporates from the buckets?

help, flowering, spreading fast, what is it?

This looks like P-def to me, for whatever reason (PH, feeds, I don't know). Just an opinion.

Roots Organics Soil and nutrient lockout

I find it hard to believe yellowing is natural as soon as you switch to 12/12, where do you have this info from? A strain is not a separate species you know, it's all a plant. The last thing newbies (I'm talking about lurkers) need is wrong facts.

    Wtf

If you're in flower, looks like P-def to me. But there is something else wrong too (IMHO), so I say a lockout (due to PH or nutrient-ratio, or no micro-life).

    105Watt CFL distance from plant?

Bump... I would like to know this too. Does a higer watt CFL bulb like 125 Watt penetrate deeper than lower watt CFL's? Or is this the big drawback of using CFL's, they simlpy don't penetrate even if you have 250W?

Sick Plant - GH The Church - in soil... pics

OMG, I'm tired of this cal-mag hystieria. But this time, I agree, somehow your plant can't get enough Mg & Cal, due to lockout (nutrient ratio unbalance, or PH is off), or if you'r lucky simply too little nutrients.

Distance from HID light in a 95% reflective Mylar tent

@Dako: Light traveling any distance DOES reduce "potency". (It HAS somewhere to go, you can't reuse light.) Light bouncing around the room because of mylar doesn't help that much. I read somewhere that Mylar, in a closed space, adds about 2% usable light to the plants, but I have no...

Using Green light in dark period

Keep in mind, how much light the pants tolerate during dark depends on the wattage during lights on! (It's all relative) So if you're using say 250W, the plants will not tolerate as much light leak as plants used to 1000 Watts. It's like the moon, relative to the sun.
