Perlite to base soil ratio should be around 20% perlite to 80% soil. You want the base soil to be the highest percentage, so if you're adding worm castings it'd be 20% perlite, 60% base soil and 20% worm castings.

If you're going to clone without rooting hormones/powders you have less chance of them rooting. Just do yourself a favour and buy a small bottle of rooting hormones.
