Eggshells work to an extent. Wrapping copper around the base of the plants stem is supposed to stop them climbing up it. Making a circle of dolomite lime around the plant also helps as the snails/slugs can't physically walk over the lime.

I've been told that back in the day they used to smoke a lot more of the plant. Nowadays we smoke just the buds but they'd smoke stalks etc too, which means the overall percentage of THC was lower because there was more plant matter that had no THC on it in their bags. Still harmless...

If you're using CFLs add more when you go into flowering, your plant will love you for it. I'd also take a cutting now, put it in veg and flower the big one, cause (if you are using cfls) you don't want the plant getting too big otherwise you wont have sufficient lighting for it. Great...
