At 45N I'd think that you'd be in veg well into the 2nd half of August. I'm at ~41N and (barring abnormal weather) my plants typically don't go into flower until roughly 1st-2nd week of August. I start them inside for ~25 days under CFLs and then out in their holes they go. Hope that helps.

Topped two of my Ice yesterday. One just above the 2nd node and the other above 3rd node. In the ground for 3 days. 3rd Ice is also in the ground and getting "coat hangered"... actually I cut up old tomato cages into 16" pieces and hook the ends into candy cane configs. Great for LSTing...
