In House Genetics BAD Herm Sugar Cane

They are at 30 days of 12/12 with another 35 to go probably. Sorry it's been a long day with this plant nonsense. So about 5 weeks to go.

In House Genetics BAD Herm Sugar Cane

I will say overall the plants are doing VERY WELL otherwise. The left plant is the offender. I should take an updated pic just to show how much I had to strip off of her just to clean her up. Definitely makes me want to stick to simpler genetics.

In House Genetics BAD Herm Sugar Cane

Full on balls on all new growth on just one plant of the three. When I mean a lot I mean full clusters of half dozen or more. They are all contained in a paper bag but I've never seen the shit so widespread this late in flower.

In House Genetics BAD Herm Sugar Cane

Let me start by saying I've never had a herm issue in the 2 years I've been growing where I am. About 30 days into flower, one of my 3 Sugar Cane IHG seeds just produced a ton of seeds. Any damage has already been done as the seeds were growing 2/3 up the plant on the youngest bud sites already...

AC Infinity Self watering fabric pot base?

Has anyone tried these yet? My only concerns are nutrient build up and when the plants are underdeveloped you will have to top feed as well. Would you just run nutrients the entire time like hydro? Also when the plants are large I can imagine changing these out probably weekly isn't much less...

The list of US based seedbanks, please contribute

This is a great list. Do you keep any sort of lists for breeders as well? I'm always interested to see what breeders are rising or falling these days.

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

The plants are finally bouncing back after adjusting the PH. I will say that atleast for me PH absolutely DOES matter in Promix. The pictures of PHing at 5.8 vs. 6.4 are pretty striking. Here they are now starting week 2 of flower.

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

Is this coco or Promix? How do they get enough oxygen when watered every day like that in pro mix? Also you're feeding like twice the amounts as me and way more often so I'm really confused if it's too much or not enough that's hurting but it sounds like it isn't the amount of nutrients that's...

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

This is where cannabis vexes me. There are just as many saying the opposite of what you are. Not saying you or them are wrong but it makes it impossible to consistently know what best practices are. I've also read to treat Promix like hydro so PH should be closer to the 5.5- 6 range. You're...

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

So since I just fed nutrients last night with dry soil, should I give them plain water until runoff today to free up some of the nutrients? A lot of it looks like overwatering which I know is more from the pot being too big, but I already have ideas on what not to do going forward. I'm just...

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

At this point should I run a few fresh water feedings? I have some 3gallon fabric pots I could downpot as an option as well but no way of knowing how big the roots are now. Just debating what to do at this point as I'm scared to start flowering with them having issues. Overwatering and salt...

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

They finally dried out today and I can't tell if they look better or worse. I did a quarter strength from what the feeding chart suggests, and yet my gut tells me there are still way too many nutrients remaining. Or are the pots too oversized for the root system? They look over watered but I...

Simple affordable RO setup? Recommend your favorites

Are there RO systems that have a convenient bypass that can be toggled off when it's not needed? For example it's wasteful to use RO water to wash hands or do dishes so it'd be nice to only use it when I need drinking water or water for the plants. I apologize if this is all super obvious stuff...

Simple affordable RO setup? Recommend your favorites

This is why I didn't want to do a large setup. I don't need RO water to clean my dishes for example. I basically just need drinking water (maybe 5 gallons per day for household) and maybe 6 gallons max for the plants per week. I'm looking at the hydrologic site now. Are there any toddy or...

Simple affordable RO setup? Recommend your favorites

W Thanks for the tip. I know it's not bad water compared to someone using a well on their property, but there is certainly enough sediment to cause a buildup over time. It's just another factor to have to worry what impact it might be having on the plants. It would be nice to start with a more...

Simple affordable RO setup? Recommend your favorites

Greetings growmies. After several years of growing with my semi shitty tap water (200 PPM), I'm looking to get an RO setup. The water contains so much sediment that when I accidentally used a gallon in my humidifier it sprayed fine white dust all over my tent about a year ago. I believe I have a...

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

The plants are looking much better! The medium still isn't dry however so best to let them take their time. I'll be feeding about 1/4 tsp of both protekt and FP when they finally dry out. That will also give them even more time to eat some of what might be left. I have a feeling going forward...

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

They have had a total of 5 gallons of water PHed down to 5.9. The runoff is probably 2 gallons which I'm okay with given the 4 feedings at probably what was 2x what they needed. They already look better. The runoff is pretty nasty unless the color is coming from something in the Promix. Once...

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

Sorry flush wasn't the best term. I believe giving them a simple water feeding with a bit of runoff will probably give them the relief they need. 2 gallons was just enough to get a couple of ounces of runoff. What do you mean by guess work though? I do measure the ppm and ph on everything I put...

Sooo do you PH water with Pro Mix or not?

Turns out 1/2 tsp of FP per gallon is way too hot, even in Promix in veg. I plan to flush a gallon of distilled water PHed to 6 to help the salt build up. They definitely have a crusting on top when I scratch up the surface soil. Should I then add the normal feed at 1/4 strength after or at this...
