    14/10 flower schedule?

Yep, assumed that's what he meant hence saying with a shorter night (10 hour night being shorter then 12) it'll take longer for the phytochrome FR to build high enough to flip to flowering. While 12 hours darkness is optimal plants will flower under shorter nights it'll just take longer. Look...

There's lot's of ways, tomato cages work well but even just tying string around the pot & using that to tie off branches works in a pinch.

    14/10 flower schedule?

Veg is fine anywhere from 18-24 on, I usually run them 18/6 to save energy. Although you'll get slightly better growth under 24 hours light. We do 12/12 for flowering because it's the perfect balance between a long enough dark to flower properly & as long of a day as possible to grow as much...

New regulations may spark Canada’s craft cannabis revolution

I've heard anecdotally they charge $10-15/g, so competing with the OCS will cut their profits in half right off the bat. Then there's the fines & jail time facing them if they persist. I don't see why they would when they could just be telling people now they're switching to online sales. I...

Like I said, with your plants I'd tie the top down (or use a scrog screen if you're worried about supporting the bud) to even out the canopy & get the lower growth growing. The comment you quoted asking if there were tests done showing a measurable improvement is because I feel like people...

New regulations may spark Canada’s craft cannabis revolution

No, that's just your presumption because you're biased & don't listen to what I'm saying. I think the LP's are shitting bricks because the regs are a lot more open then they wanted. I've clearly said that underground growers have the advantage because they have the genetics. That statement is...

Awesome, can't wait to hear what ya think. I was going to pick up a pack but decided I've gambled on enough unknown seed lately.

New regulations may spark Canada’s craft cannabis revolution

Short term maybe but they'll have to cut their costs to match the OCS prices & it'll be much easier for the cops to go after them. Instead of being tossed out of court they'll face bigger & bigger fines. Doesn't seem like that'd be profitable long, especially when it's cheaper & safer to move...

New regulations may spark Canada’s craft cannabis revolution

Groups if small players vs big LP's is what I expect we'll see. 600kg is a lot to for one person to grow & process in a year. I think the entire market is in too much flux to tell because we're still thinking of it like we always have. I wouldn't be surprised if in a decade smoking bud is...

Keep in mind the packaging is also fairly standardised with just a small area for branding. Similar to the plain packaging for tobacco they've been moving towards.

New regulations may spark Canada’s craft cannabis revolution

I'd agree that it's hugely risky time to invest. I bet a lot of people are going to lose a lot, the big question is who'll come out ahead. I think dispensaries never had much hope of being licensed as the gov sees them as criminals exploiting the situation. Not that it's right, just the sad...

New regulations may spark Canada’s craft cannabis revolution

That's an assumption but you don't actually know & GroErr didn't look at Saskatchewan. If I was looking at investing in starting a company I'd be sure I fully understand the laws & not be going off assumptions.

Didn't Saskatchewan also go with private retailers? I believe they issued 50 licenses already. I'm not too worried about the gov stores trying to restrict sales to specific LP's as that'd be counterproductive. If they don't have a good selection that competes with the BM they won't be...

Removing old/dying/dead leaves is another issue, once a leaf is more then 50% dead I'll remove to prevent infections. That has a sound grounding in horticultural practice, removing leaves to increase flowers/fruits doesn't. The only time I've heard of leaf trimming is with bonsai as a way of...

    Stress+Recovery time=Better yield & potency

What happened to teaching us old growers that are stuck in our ways all the marvelous new techniques you know to correctly stress a plant out for bigger yields of better pot? Sounds like you're making excuses before you even begin.

Sounds like a much better alternative to cutting them off. What's the advantage though when leaves produce sugar, not the flowers? Is there any tests that show a measurable increase by leaf tucking/cutting compared to proper prunning & leaving it alone?

I prefer LST or supercropping for auto's. Since they have such a short life I'd rather not prune any growth off when there's other ways to control growth

    ph calibration

Pre-mixed will be precise, powdered will be as precise as you make it depending on how accurately you measure. So if you take your time & have good measure volumes precisely it's a great savings. Even more if you just buy the base chemicals.

Looks good, keep it up. I personally only trim leaves if I'm worried about airflow/mold issues. I've never heard a botanically logical argument for reducing leaves (which produce energy to grow) to increase bud growth (which need energy to grow). Light doesn't have to hit the bud to encourage...

Doesn't surprise me at all that there's still cuts going around BC. I was surprised by Lucky 13's claim that it was never cut only & instead is an IBL from BC. That's the first I ever heard of it & I assume if it was an IBL then people like Vic High would have had access/worked with it instead...
