No if your grow box is completly enclosed and you have an exhaust fan then thats it. the purpose of an exhaust fan is to regulate temps humidity co2 and with a carbon filter, smell dont worry about outside elements (the rest of your closet)

Yeah youll just attach fan at top of box but youll need that filter unless u dont mind your clothes smelling like pot

and if your leaving it open in a closet thn there is no point having a box just grow in the closet youll be able to grow more!

Well you need to make sure there is no light getting to your plants when the lights are off especially when flowering computer fan would be fine and cheap plus when they start flowering they will smell so having an exhaust fan youll be able to attach a carbon filter to it which you can find out...

You can use a computer fan for exhaust that should be enough they are @ 15 bucks and you can splice the cords and run off a cell phone charger way easy man

With that setup it would be better to do a soil grow as far as mattering if seeds came from a hydro grow or not it doesnt matter. i personally dont think it matters if you go hydro or soil i like soil grows cause i dont mind the extra work which isnt much. you can use cfls if you want if money...

Yes if you use a filter and your room is light proof which means its probably air tight then the only smells youll get is a little bit when u open up the room but as soon as you close it it will be fine just make sure its vented to the outsiDe or to a larger space
