Has anyone ever purposely grown a really small plant?

Thanks Gypsy, that is awesome. I think I will try one clone and one from seed just to compare for myself.

Has anyone ever purposely grown a really small plant?

Gypsy, that is awesome! My main grow is big enough to take clones from but I don't have/can't afford to get any rooting compound so I'm a little nervous about going that route.

First time grow with a very small budget.

Thanks Man, I'm staying optimistic. I am germinating some more seeds to put into smaller containers for a bit of experimentation. I'm going to grow one in the top part of a container that holds burnable cd's ( I think it was a 100 cd size) and the other one I am going to try and grow in a 24...

First time grow with a very small budget.

Up until the past 2 weeks I have been using distilled bottled water. I will start testing the ph of my tap water as soon as I can get some testing equipment.

First time grow with a very small budget.

I am using Miracle Grow Organic Potting Soil. I just topped it a few days ago and so I am going to give her a bit to develop the new colas before I flower her. I don't have any means to test ph. I was able to test the soil with baking soda and found that it was slightly acidic. I am getting some...

Has anyone ever purposely grown a really small plant?

I have seen people who have accidentally grown plants that were small but has anyone ever purposefully used a small container to grow a smaller plant? I saw a picture of one that was grown in a cup smaller than a bic lighter but was several inches high and had bud. I was thinking of doing...

    Plant leaves still having trouble.

I think you may have been correct when you suggested calcium or phosphorous deficiencies. I haven't really been feeding her any nutes until this point so she must be missing something. There are some pictures from yesterday in my journal. I will take some more pics sometime today and post them here.

    Plant leaves still having trouble.

Hey Doc, I just read through your journal! She is vegging right now, 12 days short of 2 months old. This is my first grow and I made some mistakes along the way so she's a bit smaller than she should be.

Hey Doc, just read through your grow and I'm really excited to see the outcome! scribed and repped!

First time grow with a very small budget.

So I checked her this morning and the leaves weren't too droopy. It was suggested in another thread that I started that the problem is more likely nute deficiencies but there was also the ph problem. Hopefully with the potash added the ph was balanced, I'll be able to actually test that soon. I...

It could also be a calcium deficiency but i added some potash to it to try and help with that. I guess I'll add some very diluted fertilizer to it and see how she responds.

    Plant leaves still having trouble.

To me and from what a lot of these quick diagnosis guides say it looks like Nitrogen deficiency. The yellowing started in the middle and on the tips of the leaves and then spread. But I'm scared to give it any nutrients since I just flushed her... Anyone also think it might be nitrogen def. ?

So I did the flush on her and here she is. I'm staying positive that this will clear up the leaf issue. About how long does it take for the plant to recover from flushing?

First time grow with a very small budget.

So I just did a "do it yourself" soil test. I didn't have any vinegar but I figured I'd still test for acidity with some baking soda. When i did this i found that it bubbled so my soil is indeed acidic. I am going to flush it a bit more and then add some potash to try and balance the ph level out.

First time grow with a very small budget.

So day 49. I just flushed her with 6 gallons of water ( 2 gallon bucket, 3 flushes per gallon). I am going to do 2 more gallons and then let her sit in the sink for a little bit. I noticed that when the water first started coming out it was yellow-ish. By the last gallons the water was looking...
