    first grow, mothers and cloning

Hey man, they are looking pretty good for all they have been through. I would just let them be for a few days and let them get over the stress of transplanting and I'm sure they will bounce back. You could throw some cfl's in there and set them lower to help the bottom leaves get some light.

Will keeping weed in the refridgerator keep it fresh?

Yep, just keep it sealed in a glass jar. Open it once in a while to make sure things aren't getting too moist, but it should keep for a long time.

How should I go about flushing this plant?

To flush run 3 gallons of water per gallon of soil. I just flushed a 2 gallon pot with 6 gallons of water. Just pour it on through and watch it drain out the bottom. It will start out being yellow colored and eventually will run clear, that's when you know you got everything.

Has anyone ever purposely grown a really small plant?

Yes Gypsy, that does make sense. I will wait to take my clones then. Hopefully she will be recovered from everything soon and will really take off.

    Help with cloning

So I need some help with taking clones. I want to use an older bigger branch but because of a lack of nutes for a bit, the 4 oldest branches all have necrosis. They are doing fine now but still have dead spots. The healthy leaves are still small and growing, plus I've read that you don't want...

Has anyone ever purposely grown a really small plant?

Sweet. I am about to plant a seedling in a really small jar. My other 2 containers are waiting for me to take clones for them. I'm still not 100% sure which branches I'm going to take yet though...

First time grow with a very small budget.

Ok, so pretty much ever since I woke up yesterday I've been reading about gardening and checking up on my plant. I got a bunch of ideas and changed some things. The first thing I did which I already mentioned was adjust the lights. Secondly, I decided to help my plant along by blowing into...

    Vacuum effective water emergency tool?

Ok I don't actually have an emergency, I just flushed recently and wanted to get the water out of the bottom of my plant quickly. The good news is, it worked. A bunch of water was in the vacuum and the pot seemed a bit lighter. The bad news is, I'm really high, which is in itself great news...

First time grow with a very small budget.

Hey toak, go to "my roll it up" and then the edit avatar and signature are on the left side of the screen under settings and options. I have thought of cloning and it is what I am wanting to do now so that I can attempt to do some "bonsai" grows with the clones

Has anyone ever purposely grown a really small plant?

Ok, so i am going to cut some clones, but which branches to use? I'm thinking the 2 below the top 2 because they are the best ratio of health to size. I Know my plant is looking rough but she's recovering, check out the link in my sig to see my journal. And that's the rockstar can I will be...

First time grow with a very small budget.

So I moved the lights in the room around to hopefully provide more exposure and be more efficient. I am going to take some clones, but I'm not sure which branches to use yet. I'm thinking the set right below the top 2 full leaves because they are the best ratio of size to health. I am going...

    Cloning in soil?

Hey petedav, vh13 just said this to me :"To root without hormones all you need to do is set the clone in a cup of water. Make sure the area where the plant will grow roots is blocked off from light, roots need dark. Change the water every day (to keep it oxygenated) or use a small bubbler...

    Cloning in soil?

So GypsyBush convinced me to try my bonsai grow with clones instead of seedlings. I've read and seen a lot about cloning, but it was all for hydro/aero systems. So what is the best method for cloning in soil? I do not have any growth hormone (nor can I afford any) so I'm guessing I just cut...

First time grow with a very small budget.

So I was wondering, are my purple stems cause for concern? It has been a purple-y color all of it's life so I'm guessing (hoping) it's just the strain, but I know that it could be from other problems.

Has anyone ever purposely grown a really small plant?

What would be the best way to get the clones going? Do you just plant them in soil and cover them or is there some other method?
