Why do my plants not smell like mary jane?

I'd rather have good smelling buds than nasty smelling buds but of course it's your choice.

If your about to Cure- then you gotta read this-

The drier they get the better they smell. I prefer a little less humidity because of this reason. Potency is variable and difficult to determine for me but it might be better.

Why do my plants not smell like mary jane?

If they don't smell right, make sure you're hanging them in front of a fan until they are almost dry. Never put weed in a glass jar unless it's just about dry or you'll get a banana type not dry smell. I've grown plants that just don't smell good but to some they smell fine.

    My Cat ate my Plant

I gave my plant eating cat away because it would just piss me off too much. He loved to get high so he went to a stoner friend that didn't grow.

GETTING CLONES FROM SOMEONE? How do you know there safe?-

woodsmaneh is correct, I meant I usually leave them for a month but at least a couple of weeks just to make sure there isn't any bugs. You can use whatever light and transplant them into a little bit bigger container if they become too nute dependent for ya. Temps should be 75-80. Nutes are fine...

GETTING CLONES FROM SOMEONE? How do you know there safe?-

New clones at my place get their own little area far away from the bug free zone for at least a month until I make sure they're bug-free.

Roots Organics Soil and nutrient lockout

It's true, yellowing occurs more in some strains and different phenos than others. Indicas tend to stay greener in my garden. Roots Organic is tricky and needs to be toyed with in flowering. There's no way I could keep up with more than 4 strains and their different feeding schedules. IMO...

    Watts/grams ratio

Yep, some of my sativas are almost 10 weeks so they yield very lilttle per watt compared to my 8 week finishing indica strains.

Flowering starting on a 18/6 cycle? Too early?

Everything sounds good, I'd continue on with 18/6. Those are pre-flowers you see and it's completely normal. You probably won't see roots coming out the bottom of your containers before you flower them or you'll be watering everyday and nobody wants to do that, not good for the plant either.

How Long 'Til "Side Effects" Quit?

I think you'll build a tolerance to the side effects after awhile enough to where you can function without having to worry about them. Pot is ALOT safer and better for you than alcohol or pills, glad to hear it's working for you!

    Look at these buds!

Those look good, good strains too. My sativa strains are the size of my pinky finger at 4-5 weeks. Give them as much light as you can or a little bit of direct sun from a window if you can.

Questions about the taste of strains

I'm not a fan of the haze. The high is decent but mine tasted and smelled funky, like not sweet and yummy. Some here probably think otherwise but yes, it is different. You said grapefruity and I got that out of c-99, but the "kerosine/deisel/insense" is right on for the haze strains I've tried.

    Greenhouse Tx Winter Grow.

You got a low temp for us in the greenhouse after that cool front? It didn't get as cold as they said it would in the Huntsville area.

My first "official" grow thread with pics, and questions (comments are appreciated)

Looking good buddy! I'll have some pics with 6", 8", and I think I have a couple of 12" going. That soil just recently needed the lime addition. They are usually pro-active in fixing things like that but now I'm just adding dolomite to every bag so I might not know when they fix it.

    Organic Nutes and "YOUR" medium

I've only used variations of what I posted earlier and honed in on the different phenos needs. It took a while and a few of my older plants show signs of the nute changes but I’m happy with where I’m at now.

    Organic Nutes and "YOUR" medium

I'm in the process of cleaning up and getting ready to flower everything so I can move to another area in March. I'll start a real grow journal then with the setup and everything. My hours are limited to 3-4 hours for maintenance over there right now but I'll snap some shots tomorrow morning of...

    Organic Nutes and "YOUR" medium

Roots Organic seems to vary in consistency from pallet to pallet. I tried to ignore away a magnesium problem just recently but had to break down and add a little dolomite. It didn't need lime for a couple of years. The last batch I bought had a lot of perlite in it so I don't know if that's...

i want to know what you guys think about my grow plans!!!

Sounds good, since you're only using big bloom I'd transplant a week before 12/12 into a slightly larger pot so you'll have the fresh soil for flowering (you will probably need some dolomite). If you can keep them short and bushy you might get an ounce or a little more out of the two plants...
