I really hope not, scraping/cutting melted plexi off plants would suck. I think it'll be okay long as there's a decent fan blowing on it, plus should have about 2-3" between the bulb and the plexi. Does lexan have a higher heat tolerance? I would use glass but not sure where to get it cut and...

Okay, think I may have them cut it to the basic dimension I need then use the dremel to get a tight fit in the case.

Just a thought, but did you have to start a new bag of soil with the plants that are showing the problems now? If the healthy one was the last one in a different bag of soil that could explain it if there is something wrong with the soil mix the others are in.
