the stems of the first leaves will be pink. I watched a lollypopping video and they said its ok to chop the leaves with red stems off up to the top 3rd of the plant when switching over to flower. this will open the plant up and allow the lower nodes to get more light. and i see a HUGE difference...

I have ALWAYS placed mine directly into the soil and havnt had a single one not sprout! they ALL germ'd. Took about 4 days to see them.

sounds good man. thanks for EVERYONES input! I recently upgraded my lights from a 100watt MH to a 1000watt HPS so these changes in the plants growth are quite new to me! i was worried and you all helped me calm down lol. i almost ripped the plant out of the box!

can anyone explain the swelling?

I did a search, and I see different opinions. No deffinate answers. Can someone tell me if this swelling is a male? there are no sacks, and no hairs, just swelling around the node. Ive seen it in the growfaq but i have also seen people say its not always male.

leaves shouldnt be dying until the last couple weeks of flower. and in that case they will yellow entirely before they die. your leaves are browning from the veins. this is a problem, not normal. could be nute lockout, or a nitrogen or magnesium deficiency. look it up in the grow faq.

dont use rockwool plain and simple. i put my NON germ'd seed straight into soil and qwater and i have NEVER had a seed not germ for me.

i dont get it either. i think he didnt think about what he was writing. i think he means less is better than too much. too much will burn the leaves and then they wont perform their job the way they are suppose to. i dont use ntes though so i cant help you.

no my buddy works in an electrical store and hes almost 100% sure its a different voltage and you need an adapter. our pressure washer has one almost like it.
