    You just don't want your roots to be exposed to light.

    transplant shock help?

    At first glance it looks like over or under watering. Do you have holes in your buckets for proper drainage? I water mine til water comes through the bottom holes. Then wait til the pots feel very light before watering again. If you use hydroton clay pellets on top it will prevent the top layer...

    Brand new to this, obviously got a few questions.

    Anyways you may be able to have a very successful micro grow such as (I've seen) growing pot in a computer case. You may be able to build a very nice stealth grow box out of a dresser or something.
