In a space that small Id stay with the 250,have you planned on exausting your heat out of your space.If you run enclosed hood with glass and fans you can run a 400 in that area,you will probably need a fan on the 250 also

Look at your hood it has a little green wire ,it should be attached to something metal on your hood,mine had simply come loose and needed to fastened back.Go check all your wires going into your reflecter,one of them is loose and easy to fix
