Not a big deal just go ahead a put it your soil but when doing this I have always left it in the net cup so that no roots get damaged trying to pull them out.

Vermiculite, Hydroton, Sand, Bio-char...But if you use bio-char you have to go easy on it because it will absorb nutes. Perlite is the way to go in my opinion...

Could just be a strain thing too, I have a couple ladies in my garden the are just cal-mag whores.

After thinking about it I would have to agree with this. Cal. would be rust dots and these are stripes witch would indicate Mag.

Iv used the happy frog a few times and never had issues with it being too hot. Unless that water you are using has a high PPM and if you dont have it tested there is no way of telling what is in it. But I would start with pH and go from there.

calcium deficiency for sure and usually Id say just bump up the cal-mag but as you are organic Ill have to suggest crushing up egg shells into a powder and top dressing with them. Let us know how it turns out. Best of luck!

Iv been running DWC for a few years now and the best results I have had with root health has been using Root Life Microbes from Key To Life with EVERY nutrient swap out (every 7 days) Haven't had any problems at all with roots sense finding this product
