in simple terms YES! be more specific as to the lights you have hps, cfl, mh, how many watts? if they're vegging under a fluoro i'd keep them on 24/7 personally but that's up to you... when you bring plants from indoors to outdoors you have to harden them off, 1 hour for a few days, then go up...

Yeah, CFL's are the sprial ones... you need the ones that make a blue/white color when they're on... if you really want to make things worth while i'd sac up and get the high pressure sodium light from home depot... might cost a little more but it's worth it in the end. good luck growing and...

How big is your HPS? you could grow them all the way through with the HPS and add in the cfl's for side lighting, etc... My first few grows which were CFL, i used 8 of the 26 W, and that started 4 plants, but i put them under HPS before they got above a foot tall... I'd use HPS the whole time...

All plants look different whether it be color variations, flower to leaf ratio, height, etc... It's almost impossible to give a realistic estimation of any kind of dried weight because every plant is so different and growing conditions differ so much. Best thing to do is look at grow journals...
