id be more worried about where youre shipping the seeds than what youre using to buy them..if the place you bought from gets in trouble theyre gonna give youre address away...

It's not a preferred method but you'd be surprised how the root system grows very fast, if anything it might take longer for it to reach the surface of your grow medium..if it does.

I currently have 3 plants that originated from reg bagseeds, they should be a bit better than the weed it came from if you care for it well.. but it's still not gonna be piff.

I don't think there's a safety issue with the cheaper ones maybe less precise though, i was looking at some in a local drug store..

Your whole plant will be either a male or female in most cases, females are good, dont cut your leaves based on wether you think they're male or female, there's a thread on how to tell that is probably stickied. good luck.
