Putting an airstone in your reservoir oxygenates the water. It also helps if you use tap water. It also helps by removing some of the chlorine in the water.

thanks cr8z! there is no soil in the pots, it is called expanded clay and it is a substitute for the soil when using hydroponics. But i'm not PRO!. :)

i thought 24hrs under light is better for vegging? i just realized that the timer is only for 30 minute intervals. So instead of 8x a day for 15 minutes at a time i changed it to 4x's a day for 30 minutes at a time. will that work?
